While the first option would be no real change from today, just less of our tax dollars would go to it’s stupidity, the second could be a very big problem for the US.

In reality finding a cheap, safe and environmentally friendly energy replacement to oil would help put an end to a lot of problems in the world. Why else would OPEC increase production when the US government starts dumping billions into alternative energy research. They like their grip on the world energy supply. They loose that they loose the money that keeps thire populations (mostly) pacified and the money to bribe, sorry, donate to politicians, their friends and families….

Unfortunately our politicians don’t want that, they like getting the money from the Saudi’s and their friends, who are not interested in helping us at all. Unless you count helping us transform the WORLD into Islamic states.
