Brief Description:
In a classroom simulation of an actual union organizing campaign, students learn about unions, employers and management, and the labor movement. Students will interact in small groups representing management, union organizers, workers, and the NLRB at a fictional workplace. This case study features a town hall meeting to debate and discuss the issues followed by a union representation election, followed by a simulation of the effects of liberal backed card check proposals and the abdication of the secret ballot. Students will “encourage” other students to sign union cards, and beat up and/or threaten the families of those that have reservations or refuse. After the simulation, students analyze the outcome of their experience (why card check is as unAmerican and in defiance of free choice) and determine issues they want to learn more about and take action on, like reading the Constitution and the Federalist Papers. Some examples: identify union thuggery in our local economy, and how unions unnecessarily raise the price of American goods and thus make them uncompetitive in the U.S. and the world market create a peer education program about the success of right to work states today.

Because more Americans are concerned about sports than what their elected officials are up to, this sort of crapt is allowed to happen.

After the teacher admitted that her brother has AIDS, I concluded that this was school indoctrination. I’m just wondering if there will be any Pro-abortion, or anti-tea party ‘community service’ that she has planned for them next?

Public schools are there for one reason only and that is to make little liberals! (Law schools are here to make big liberals where public schools failed but that is another story.)

The system cannot be “fixed from within” and our kids should not be sacrificed on the altar of left-wing indoctrination.

This does not mean there are no good public school teachers. It simply means that public schools have an agenda and they will indoctrinate every kid they get their hands on.

I am living in a relatively conservative county in Maryland, luckily….

My high school senior HAS been taught how to think for himself, mainly by his parents, but there is very little indoctrination in his public high school that I am aware of.

He has (by choice) taken a hunter’s safety course (at age 12) and understands very clearly the value of the 2nd amendment in the protection of all our other rights.

He DOES keep me in check when he catches me generalizing about muslims and liberals, which I have been known to do….all in all, a very astute young citizen. He makes me proud and hopeful for our future.
