Were it not for recent protests peoples’ contacting their representatives, HR 3200 would have passed in late July, and we would be well on the way to government run health care.

We must maintain the pressure for at least the next four years and begin to advocate workable alternatives to current proposals. Negativity combined with positive options at least gives a chance for success.

Rules For Radicals works for the right too.

Another problem today, is the mandatory swine flu vaccination. Healthcare workers in NY are “revolting”. In a time of an epidemic/pandemic, requiring vaccines should be mandatory; however, in this case, I don’t see the need. Regular flu shots are not required and that kills 30K plus Americans a year, without a peep from the government. Swine flu hysteria has the politicians seeing an opportunity to profit as well as the MSM.

Full blown socialism is slightly more conservative than full blown Marxism.

They’re not trying to sell it as socialism or even full-blown Marxism. They’re selling is as Marxism lite.

Just a sprinkle of socialism, a dash of fascism, fold in “Hope ‘n Change” and, voila’! The end of the free market.

Definition of Reform:
make changes for improvement in order to remove abuse and injustices; “reform a political system”

bring, lead, or force to abandon a wrong or evil course of life, conduct, and adopt a right one; “The Church reformed me”; “reform your conduct”

a change for the better as a result of correcting abuses; “justice was for sale before the reform of the law courts”

improve by alteration or correction of errors or defects and put into a better condition; “reform the health system in this country”

a campaign aimed to correct abuses or malpractices; “the reforms he proposed were too radical for the politicians”

change for the better; “The lazy student promised to reform”; “the habitual cheater finally saw the light”

self-improvement in behavior or morals by abandoning some vice; “the family rejoiced in the drunkard’s reform”

Why do we keep using the word reform? Per the definitions above reform means to fix abuses & injustices in something inherently bad or evil.

I don’t see the US healthcare system as bad or evil. I think we are really just looking for improvement. The question is whether the improvement is needed in heathcare or healthcare insurance?

Democrats demonize the heathcare and insurance industiries to be able to fundamentally “change” them. I think they just need improvements as noted by some commentators here. Don’t make something evil or bad just because some people want it for free and some politician wants to give out freebies for votes.

Its the politicians that need reform.
