“In our small and humble way, we can submit our own record,” he said. “I think this is a wonderful thing for us to do.”

In these two quotes is an excellent example of the lib mindset. They have accomplished absolutely nothing of tangible significance, but get to feel realy good about themselves and superior anyway.

A recent visitor to the UC campus in Berkeley from Maryland commented that the campus felt like an island of conservatism in a sea of liberalism. There is some truth to that dichotomy. While the Berkeley politicians act like idiots, the academic community is doing fundamental research in science, biotechnology and engineering. Here is an example: Research into Element 114.
