About ten years ago I fired a long term employee for sexual harassment even though he had done far less than David Letterman has admitted to on air. (In fact, only for comments and physical groping in the office.)

I wonder if CBS would like to stand up and do the right thing and get this slarmy pervert off the air and back under the rock that he crawled out from under.

The assertion that sexual relations with a female subordinate are “consensual” are spurious – when one’s livelihood is at stake, nothing can be assumed.

Letterman used his position to compromise his staffers. Last time I checked, this type of activity would get EEOC involved and lead to a tremendous set of civil lawsuit – and there might even be criminal activity involved as well if one of his subordinates solicited a new hire to make sure they were Letterman compliant.

I guess if you are a liberal the law and common decency do not apply.

Protect his family from what? Hearing their father joke that a 14-year old was knocked up by Alex Rodriguez at a Yankee game? Or from knowing the truth: that being a famous millionaire will get even the most creepy and disgusting people sex. I also wonder if Jay Leno, Conan, and the other Hollywood stand up tools will bring out the Letterman jokes; or is that only for when hated Republicans mess up?
