From Michelle Obama’s failed pitch to the International Olympic Committee:
“Some of my best memories are sitting on my dad’s lap, cheering on Olga and Nadia, Carl Lewis, and others for their brilliance and perfection.”
Um. Ew. Oof.
Mrs. Obama was 20 years old when Lewis first competed in the Olympics in 1984.
Senior White House adviser and Chicago slumlord overseer Valerie Jarrett promised earlier this week that “there wouldn’t be a dry eye in the room” after FLOTUS spoke.
She probably wasn’t expecting tears of…laughter.
Mrs. O is looking more and more like Mrs. Clinton every day.

Some of our best memories will be that the IOC saw through this Chicago shakedown and save taxpayers billions of dollars that would have padded the pockets of the gang in Chi town.

Michelle Obama’s speech to the IOC was, frankly, embarrassing for its self-centeredness and insipidness. Honestly, “vote for us because my dad had MS”???
She was born in 1964 and would have been eight years old when Olga Korbut was in the 1972 Munich Olympics and 12 when she saw Korbut and Comaneci in the 1976 Olympics.
Don’t know about other girls, but my daughter wasn’t sitting on my lap to watch TV when she was eight.
It reminds me of Al Gore saying that his mother used to sing “Look for the union label” to him as a bedtime lullaby. But that song dates to 1975, and Gore was born in 1948. So if you take him at his word (and why shouldn’t you), then Al Gore’s mommy was singing him to sleep when he was in his late 20′s. Now MO’s remarks suggest that, at age 20, she was planting that dirigible on her daddy’s lap. Must be a Deomcrat thing. I wouldn’t understand.
Even if all that she said was true, such vignettes have no impact on a group of business professionals making a business decision.
They were SO out of their element.
If Olga and Nadia weren’t white, I’d find her assertion that she was rooting against the USA reasonably credible.
I believe that Hillary is also originally from Chicago. What is up with the lying through their teeth crap?
Next MO will announce that she was named Michelle because her Mom really dug the Beatles. Course, she was like 3 years old when ‘Michelle’ was released. But why let the truth get in the way of a good story.
If Michelle O’ was sitting on her dad’s lap at 20 years old, that is a little creepy and maybe the start of the plot for the black version of Deliverance.

She remembers it clearly. She had just heard about those black churches being burned, which was right about the her parents were inspired by marches in 1965 to get married in 1961, and just before she spent Christmas in Cambodia. It was especially memorable because she and her father had to evade sniper fire, right there in her living room.
Being that Carl Lewis and I both grew up in the same county, I can emphatically say we were there all the way, even though Carl and I went to rival high schools!

Michelle was released just under two years after MO was born, in December of 1965 (She was born January, 1964), on the album Rubber Soul, so there’s no way it was out before she was born. You are correct, though the time interval was off by about a year …

Folks, it does no good to hound the GOP for its foibles. Splintering off and declaring independant, Libertarian, or anything else will just move you out of the ability to vote in a 2012 primary.
Likewise, voting for any 3rd party will only set up another “Perot” phenomenon.
Neither of these two scenarios will make any progress back to conservative candidates. We must bring the GOP back to conservative ideals.
We don’t need the MSM to choose our candidates. Tried it once, didn’t work.

The only possible part of her story that could be true is sitting on her daddy’s lap when Olga Korbut won her gold medals in 1972. She would have been close to 9 years old then. If she did sit on her dad’s lap at age eight and nine months, then she was developmentally challenged because by that age, most kids do not sit on their dad’s lap. But even that is not likely as the Munich games of 1972 were mostly televised at night (there was little by way of cable TV at that time and no internet) and surely her dad put Michelle to bed to get her ready to school. She was hardly up at 10:00pm Chicago time on a school night watching olympic gymnastics. By the time of Nadia Comenceci’s gold medals in 1976 at Montreal, Michelle Obama would have been almost 13 years old and 13 year olds do not sit on daddy’s lap. Not then and not now. And of course, at age 20 and away at Princeton, Michelle Obama did not sit on daddy’s lap and watch Carl Lewis. Next she will tell us she sat on daddy’s lap and watched Ben Johnson win the 100 at Seoul.
As for Mr. Gore, let’s not forget that he said he discovered Love Canal (already declared a federal disaster site by President Carter before Gore was in Congress).

I heard that a reporter or two was quoted as saying that Mrs. Obama took Copenhagen by storm, like that’s a good thing. I mean, was it a good thing that Katrina stormed through New Orleans?
In the aftermath of the Obama’s storming through Copenhagen the devastation that they left was to their reputations before the world which are now even more tattered, if that’s possible, and they look so much the more like the world’s buffoons.

No one wants to vote for either of these corrupt parties. That’s why they’re both toast. Imagine if this platform got traction. The Donks and Repubs would all be toast.
The GOP is half of the problem. The Democrats are the other. If one of those parties presents a good Constitutionalist candidate, then by all means vote for that candidate, but the time has long passed that people should be voting for ANY of these clowns in the LOTE mode.
I, for one, will never again vote for a liberal or vote LOTE. Those days are over.

Seems the decisions being made in the WH lately have been terribly wrong. Heads should roll, not only the speech writers and the people who told Obama to go to Denmark, but also Michelle’s fashion consultant.I usually don’t comment on her clothes because there is so much else to criticize her for!! But this was a really really unflattering dress!!I think a lot of her clothes look pretty good on her. But that yellow dress was all wrong for her shape! It puffed out in front, making her look pregnant, then it was fitted around her butt, making it look gigantic! This was a very bad choice for her!
I remember watching Jim Ryun win the 1500 meter run and set a new world record in the 1968, 1972, and 1976 Olympics, and watching the US 4 X 400 relay team win the 1968 Olympic Gold Medal and setting a new world Record.
I remember watching it on our flat screen, High Definition Television. We were emailing one another about the games while also talking live on our cell phones.
I also remember sitting on my mom or my dad’s knee while watching Hussein Bolt win the 100 meter dash in the 2008 Olympics, and even when Mickey Mantle hit a home run to win the 2008 Olympic Gold Medal in men’s Baseball.

If we elect a few “RINO’s” along the way who agree with the main points of our platform, then yes, we can sort them out later. The main objective HAS to be to take the Presidency and Congress away from the marxists, and to do it quickly before they destroy us. Dividing our voting power will not accomplish that. Most voters in this country are not informed. If they voted Republican all their lives, will they vote for a third party because it is more conservative? I doubt it. We would be shooting ourselves in the foot! If anyone can convince me that a third party is a good idea, I am listening.

If Michelle Obama says she watched the 1972 olympics on her dad’s lap, then surely she would have mentioned watching Mark Spitz who was the star of those games and won so many gold medals. But she didn’t mention him so she made it all up.
I’ll give you that much IF the conservatives from both sides were to exodus to a 3rd party. Otherwise, a 3rd will be a minority for a hundred years, cause the collective won’t ‘get it’.
