I doubt it would amount to much savings. As far as climate, consider how small a number the total roof space is vs. area of planet (3/4 is H2O). Seems pretty stupid just by using simple reasoning. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to detect stupidity.

The savings on my roof are mine. I’m not talking about lowering global temps.

GISS compiles its reports by collecting the USHCN temperature readings and then subjecting them to secret adjustments, allegedly to correct for artificial influences such as land-use changes.

I love “secret adjustments” as a scientific tool…

Especially in the sense that, if all the rooftops and streets in cities are painted white, it will prove how WRONG the GISS applied their UHI (urban heat island effect) corrections to the surface temperature record as they did for example for Santa Rosa, (blue is the original un-doctored USHCN data, red is the doctored GISS data). If urban temperature data is taken OUT of the temperature record, ‘global warming’ looks more like this.

Anthony Watts has done an outstanding job figuring out just how badly our surface temperature record is tainted by UHI and he deserves an award for proving that there is .. NO CRISIS.

The better idea is to plant trees all over the place because, instead of reflecting heat or absorbing heat to emit later, they just grow and keep things cool.
