The Congressional Black Caucus loyalty oath:

I pledge allegiance, to racial identity politics, no matter how much my corruptocrat colleague of color stinks to high heaven.

The reason why donks — of any color — won’t take out their garbage is because their hatred of Republicans trumps all other considerations.

If you’re a donk and a crook, you’re an embarrassment to other donks until you utter the Magic Words: “… But my enemies are right-wing Republicans!”

At which point, no matter what you’ve done, all is forgiven and forgotten and the phalanx forms around you.

You have to admire the donks for this lock-step capability: it almost gives literal meaning to the phrase, “Honor among thieves.”

It’s been a year! How long does it take to decide if not reporting a half million dollars in a savings account was deliberate or an innocent oversight? Does anyone really believe a politician would forget he had half a million dollars stashed away, even for one moment? And that is just one of many violations. If Rangel was a Republican, none of these people would be objecting to his removal.

So true. Having just finshed reading MM’s “Culture Of Corruption” I am coming to believe those of us who work hard and raise our families, black or white, are a bunch of saps. The “elitists” suck us dry and slap us around at will. The congressional black caucus is just part of that corruption.

Yep, I understand agendas and soliciting emotions to advance a point of veiw, but this issue is entirely too easy just using the facts.

How can Rep Rangel manage the House, Ways and Means Committee when he cannot manage his own affairs? How can he do his job effectively with this cloud hanging over his head? How can he be trusted? If he is hiding, or unaware of his own finances, what is he hiding. or unaware of on the Committee.

So being a black politician in the “black caucus” means to be corrupt, lack integrity, and generally lie to oneself and one’s own constituents about what’s going on in Congress. It is silly to have these kinds of groups backing the likes of Rangel and exist to continue identity politics of the worst. Some of the groups that come to mind are:

    1. The Latino Caucus
    2. The Progressive Caucus

I’m sure there are more but these are examples that I can think of. All that minorities are taught anymore (and I’m not saying “all” of them) is that they perceive themselves as “victims” and so they’ll commit a crime, steal, lie, to get what they want. It is entirely wrong when civilians do it and even moreso for our politicians to do so.

Rangel is being protected and absolved by people in his same victim identity group. They don’t know anything else. And neither do many minority constituencies in the US.

Rangel, and others like him, who make laws for us but don’t follow those same laws, should be put in jail. But they won’t. Because not only are they protected but many of their constituents view them as heroes which is sad at best.

We are becoming a Banana Republic. Laws mean nothing to the politicians if they can be broken and ignored so easily.
