Be careful with what you demand in terms of Rangel’s resignation or removal. It can be turned against us with a series of harrassment accusations such as Sarah Palin has faced in the last year. If mere accusation and investigation is cause for removal you give your enemies a hefty tool. They WILL use it.

On precisely what terms should Rangel be removed? Be sure to phrase it very surgically so that it doesn’t become so broad that somebody who tosses a nickle to a panhandler and declares it as an office expense would face a charge of misuse of funds leading to his removal from Congress.
