if we are waiting for answers from this bunch of chicago gangsters, we’re as foolish as the dems sacred voting blocks. you know, blacks, gays, unions, women, how is that hopey changey deal working for you. but at least lawyers are getting theirs as well as new york banks. of course these groups have swung back and forth and expect a payoff or they will go elsewhere, which is different from the first group.

Since they do not care to even listen to me, my approach is simple. I told my rep and both Senators if they vote for Obaamcare, I will send packing boxes to their offices for use after Novemeber 4, 2010.

Now there you go being uncivil again and actually questioning Duh One. How are they supposed to control your peaceful transition into their communist utopia if you keep trying to rebel with facts and truth?
Relax, you just have to pay for his health care. He will be on a much nicer plan than we the people … as will all of our bloated bureaucratic congress-critters. Surely you have to understand that the ruling class must have nothing but the best so that they can think clearly and maintain their greatness while we the people suffer in our equality! After all, who are we to decide what is best for us when they are so much more enlightened?
aloha, on the same vein, why should i pay for aids when it is completely preventable with a condom or a new needle? you want to make the fat pay for their gluttony, how bout them bareback butt cowboys and heroin addicts? how bout them ho’s with std’s? how bout them sun worshippers like mccain with skin cancer? the list could go on a long way.
Yep, 10 fairly good questions that deserve answers. No doubt there are a bunch more. And, those should be answered, too.
There is one difficulty in the presentation, and that is the expectation of a response. Just because your organization asks questions does not merit a response, even an acknowledgement. Yeah, I know it sounds nasty, but how many pundits, editorials and BLOGS are out there asking questions? How many celebrities and You Tube posting are there also asking questions? And, how many receive a response from the President?
You are setting up yourself for disappointment if you are expecting a response just because you asked a question of any elected official.
I think the 44 thousand people who responded to the poll would be better served by getting one or two Senators and several Representatives to read the questions on the floor of their respective chambers.
Once read, the questions go into the Congressional Record. Reading the questions repeatedly several times in each of the two chambers of Congress will more likely solicit a response.
Yep, take Pres Obama to task, and these ten questions are a good way to do so.

Indirectly, a question like that opens a Pandora’s Box of paying. If you won’t pay for his smoking, maybe he won’t pay for your Saturday night drinking, or the next door neighbor who delights in driving 75 in a 55 mph zone. Maybe I don’t want to pay for the “Mr. Fix-it” doctor at home, who screws everything up before he come to us. How about the guy who is a “master electrician” for a day, and the drunk on the boat offshore? “Judge ye not, lest ye be judged”. What it brings up is the question…should the government control behavior too?
That is exactly the problem here but it gets uglier too. When they begin regulating behavior and belief, there is no way to appease everyone unless there is a common standard and that is whatever the government sees fit for you to believe. You cannot explain to the Muslims that you are going to hand out condoms in their schools. You cannot explain to the people in California that you are not … leastways not without bringing them to terms with one another … again creating more division and again giving the government yet one more crisis to “not let go to waste” and taking even more control of the liberties and freedoms of we the people.
Crazy logic if there is any to be found there but that is what it seems to boil down to.

There will be no more relativism when they succeed though, only govt control and then what happens to all the protesters that put them in power to begin with?

The CBO said the numbers for Health care reform look bad. Obama said they are not good numbers, don’t pay attention to them.
The CBO comes out and says the deficit will decrease. Obama says those numbers reflect why the bill should be passed.
Which is it Non partisan CBO? Are you getting partisan pressure to conform like Fox news is?
Of course, all of this is moot. A strategy has been put in place to pass simplified health care reform that gives cover to all the blue dogs and then basically conference committee it to what Nancy and Harry & Obama want.
This is the government that was voted in. Thats what they say and I regretfully almost have to agree with them.

I questioned an elderly jewish lady neighbor that ‘always’ votes Democratic. While she is upset with O’s support of Israel and health care and tarp et al, she says she would vote for him again because even now he is better than GW. GO figure.

What if I told you that you could purchase health insurance today for $4,000 a year or you could pay a $1,900 penalty and yet be guaranteed health insurance if you became ill? If you are short of cash, or have other things you would rather purchase, why pay $2,100 more a year? The very concept of insurance is that you are purchasing protection for the unknown. Many of us would choose not to purchase insurance for our homes, autos or health if we were guaranteed that if we needed it, we could purchase it after the fact and simply pay a penalty of less than 1/2 the yearly cost. In essence the $1,900 penalty becomes the new insurance policy where people bet they won’t become ill and need health insurance.
That’s true, Letget, but they know that they can get away with it, even though it’s all unconstitutional. People coming out of our government schools today, know little of the Constitution, its history, or, for that matter, care anyway. Rights are whatever the government wants to give, or reject. The Bill of Rights have been so badly distorted and misused, that its basic principles are ignored. We have more of a right for food and housing, than health care, but those aren’t politically profitable right now. Maybe in the near future, as the government seeks to nationalize more industries will they issue the hue and cry for food care/housing rights.

Your math is a little off. You would not receive coverage just because you paid the fine. You would only get the coverage if after paying the fine, you signed up for insurance.

*Has this fine woman not heard that there is consensus on healthcare reform?; That’s what P-BO said on Saturday; That is of course if you exclude the majority of Americans that desire proper reform, and not what P-BO, Pelosi, Baucus, and Reid are trying to foist upon us.
*Don’t hold your breath waiting for any answers; P-BO and his Communist Clown Cluster are bound and determined to implement a single payer system, and this is simply a means to that end.
*The highest priority question for P-BO is “When are you going to get serious about the economy?”; 40 cents of every dollar in tax revenue is at present being spent on the interest on the national debt; We cannot continue to spend, borrow, print, and tax; Economic collapse is on the horizon, and these Democrat fools are wanting to lead us off a cliff!

* How come government care doesn’t pay the “prevailing fee” for welfare care when it’s mandated to pay top dollar ‘prevailing wage’ for union work regardless of where it is done?
* Couldn’t eliminating the “prevailing wage” rules for unions go a long ways to paying for health care costs for those of limited means?
* If doctors and nurses form unions, are you going to start paying them their prevailing wages for care provided?
* Or are you going to continue paying them as low as 40% or even less for welfare care?
* If unionized doctors and nurses go on strike because you aren’t paying them their “prevailing wage”, who is going to provide care while you sort this out? It’s not like anything is ever done about teachers or other unions going on strike with no-strike clauses… Are no-strike clauses going to be equally enforced on teachers and others?

There are many of us who would never unionize or go on strike. We don’t deal with cars and other products; we deal with the health and life of people. It would be inexcusable to betray the trust that patients and their families have on us. Some may unionize/strike, but the true healthcare givers work out of love of the job, not pay or benes.
This is Barack Obama we’re talking about here.
No one really expects a response.
It is important, however, to make sure these questions keep getting asked, and louder each time, to help more Americans wake up to knife that’s been pointed at their backs for a hundred years.

Speak for yourself — don’t call it a strike — call it a vacation when government runs out of money to pay you. This is how it been done in BC, Canada. A while ago, when BC told the MDs it couldn’t pay them for December care, they went on vacation. In Kanloops, this left one GP and a vet running the ER for about 100,000 folks. The vet was the ‘anesthesiologist’ — he had lots of experience putting your pet dog under… Good enough for Fido…
We could all go back to the barter system, then, like the old days.
Treat a patient and get a chicken for your efforts…or some work done around your house.
Blitzer asked Axelrod a real question? Removing the state restrictions would destroy the government takeover. Thirty yrs ago my OB/GYN had to move to another state to practice. His malpractice insurance in FL skyrocketed after he broke his collarbone in a skiing accident. A buddy invited him to join his medical practice in CO where his “injury” would allow him to do surgery without the threat of a frivolous lawsuit (the kind John Edwards dreamed about.)
It’s NOT about HEALTHCARE…it’s about control of the people. Period.
By discussing this issue, the only thing we can hope to accomplish is making enough noise that the MSM might run it on tv/newspapers and get more people involved in calling their elected officials to vote it down.
Otherwise, it’s just NOT ABOUT HEALTHCARE.
1)Create an enemy (health insurance industry)
2) Aggressively act to defeat that enemy, save the people, and show yourself as the savior of the people.
3) In doing so, take away more liberty and freedom, and increase your power.
Dictators and totalitarian governments have been doing this since people gathered into villages. It works. Those that do not know their history are doomed to repeat it. Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot, Chavez, etc., knew this too.

The hikes in taxes start in 2010, and the plan will go into effect in 2013/14?
If it’s anything close to the raids that have been carried out on Social Security, they’ll spend it on something else and it’ll be broke by the time it’s supposed to go online. They’ll have a good time with all those billions and then have to set up emergency taxation to even start it.
Going Galt is starting to sound passive to what’s coming down the pike with taxpayers. We’ve got 15 million out of work and the country is broke.
Except the government has been shutting down organizations based on “fair and equitable trade contracts between individual citizens” since the early seventies that I know about personally. I used to be involved in one called Barter Systems and the govt could not figured out how to tax private contracts between private citizens so shut down the FREE membership parent organization that was run by strict volunteers (so as not to create any generation of capital or income for the company itself) as a money-making scheme.
