Well at least he didn’t kill people after getting the award like Arafat did.
Oh wait…
Talks real tough doesn’t he? That’s OK. The Nobel Peace Prize Committee saw right through the tough talk and gave him credit for being the wimp that he really is.
pieces.
May piece be with you.
Ummm, OK. Yep, he said those things.
The question still belongs to the Nobel committee who gave Pres Obama the Peace Prize. Why did you guys do it?
The ONLY reason Obama got the prize was to encourage him to continue bringing the USA down to the level of the rest of the weak, socialist world… PERIOD!
I don’t normally think “conspiracy”; however, I suspect that O’Bambi has full time help dedicated to nothing but building his image. It explains the pathetic Nobel Peace Prize award and other unexplainable occurrences.
That is a beat down.
With wit like that, I’m sure a new “Nobel Prize for Philosophy” will be created just for him.
He so badly wants street cred.
Like I said before; the committee is a bunch of effete anti-semites.
None of these quotes match the wit and wisdom of his immediate predecessor’s “They misunderestimated me.”
Nobel Prize for American President=
Slap in the face for America.
So, what else is new?
I agree, Obama is much more combative in his tone and words than Bush. Peace prize my butt- more like the Nobel Appease Prize. (Oh but he is black, I forgot, he gets an instant pass on everything.)
There really is NO reasonable reason for nominating a man who has been in office for twelve days for that prize, especially since he has not accomplished ANYTHING- AT ALL in all his time in office. But I’m sure you and your ilk will continue to try to justify it.
I asked last week and I’ll ask (paraphrase) again:
Anyone else wonder whether, how, and for how much, George Soros and/or his minions bribed and/or pressured, and/or threatened the likely socialist sissies on the Nobel committee to do what they did?
A bit off topic, but essential reading:
Charles Krauthammers 2009 Wriston Lecture delivered for the Manhattan Institute for Policy Research in New York on October 5.
One of the the most intelligent, insightful pieces I have read in a while.
Here it is at the Weekly Standard.
From Merriam Webster:
Abomination (n)
Related words: abominable
1 : worthy of or causing disgust or hatred : detestable
2 : quite disagreeable or unpleasant
From pianoman:
Obamanation (n)
see above.
With few exeptions, no one here has “misunderestimated” Obama.
We know exactly who and what he is.
exceptions
nbarry: A WashPo columnist wrote about Bush 43, “He mangles the English language.”
I responded, “At least he isn’t like his immediate predecessor who mangles the truth.”
BTW, the current WH resident also mangles the truth.
Actually the teleprompter deserves the prize.
THey forgot his promise to bomb/invade Pakistan.

Hey now, let us leave the teleprompter out of this.
I just love that.
I think Jimmy should toss his over the fence onto the White House lawn in protest.
off topic…anybody catch the story about the apartment complex banning the flags including the American flag even on your vehicle?? Here’s the complex/company info if you care to tell them how unpatriotic they are…
Oaks Apartments, Albany, OR
(541) 967-1284
Owned by: Keller Development Company Incorporated
1951 Ferry St. SW
Albany, OR 97322
(541) 926-9667
Remember the MA town of Amherst trying to ban the display of flags in the town except on town approved days? And remember UMASS physics prof Jennie Traschen lecturing the town on how the flag is perceived around the world: “Actually, what the flag stands for is a symbol of terrorism and death and fear and destruction and repression”?
And she had the infinitely bad timing to do it on the evening of September 10, 2001.
Oregon has nothing on Amherst, MA, the Berkeley East of America.
To be fair to our socialist President, he didn’t lobby for this award; and is 100% right when he says he doesnt deserve it. The quotes in the link reflect on the partisanship and idiocy of the Nobel Prize Committee; morons all.
President Obama had better hurry up and mention publicly that he watches college football. Theres a deadline to be nominated for the Heisman Trophy, too.
Interesting — I live in Albany, and haven’t heard about this. But then again, I don’t go to SW Albany much.
I’d agree that’s true when it comes to Portland and Eugene, but Albany isn’t exactly a hotbed of lefty sentiment — that’s what makes the story so peculiar. But then again, there’s no law here saying that libs can’t own rental property…
Now, who will write his acceptance speech? Methinks it will be whoever wrote “Dreams From my Father”. Obama certainly isn’t capable. I read the book!
The fact that this man won the Nobel Peace Prize is a disgrace, but really only a symbolic one. The fact that he is President of the United States is far more disturbing and ominous.
I wonder if this is why those wanting troops in Darfur have gotten quiet.
Nah.
Because the Nobel Prize in Economics would have been too much even for these leftist nitwits?
And oh by the way, we are STILL WAITING for our glorious president to make up his little bitty mind about sending more troops to Afghanistan. Well, what is it buddy? While you party in the white house, our troops are dying because you refuse to make a decision.
Get off of your lazy presidential butt and make up your mind.
Lets not forget the “flagship” campus of the University of Mass is located their.
Here’s another bit of wisdom from the man who won the Nobel Participation Prize:
According to democrats like Jimmy Carter, animosity toward Obama is racism. So how is Obama’s stated animosity toward an entire race not racism? The dictionary says it is:
