If you don’t read Toby Harnden’s articles in the the UK’s Telegraph, you should. Whereas the media here in the U.S. willfully ignores much of the mess that is the Obama Administration, the Brits wade right in — and get it right….

Maybe more MoveOn types should have joined those of us from Dallas who went to College Station; maybe they could learn how to spell and do a better job of acting.

Here’s what the media were trying to distract you from with their shiny phony Rush Limbaugh allegations and tales of little boy balloon peril that turned out to be a tacky publicity stunt. Item Number One: Dear Reader met with……

Be aware the crowd was about 1/3rd anti-Obama from Right of Center, 1/3rd anti-Obama from Left of Center, and about 1/3rd pro-Obama.

The pro-Obama folks were just there hoping for sighting their rock star.

The anti-Obama from Left of Center were “pro public option”, “bring the troops home now” / “out of Afghanistan”, and “9/11 was an inside job” loons.

The anti-Obama folks from the Right of Center were the tea party folks, and they seemed pretty much drowned out in the larger crowd. Which is, I think, the point. Expand the crowds, inflate ‘opposition from the Left’ and position Obama as a difference-splitting moderate.

Last week’s gay bashing from the West Wing seemed designed to boost the Left in the streets, but I can’t say I saw much (if any) of a gay rights contingent.

If we can get this many people to turnout in San Francisco, surely the Tea Parties in the rest of the country will be even larger!!!

Keep up the pressure, Patriots!

Might I suggest when they’re all trying to leave for their long weekends? They only work, what, three days a week? I think they’d get really ticked if the streets are too congested for them to get to the airport.

The more their out of town, the less damage they can do.

Did you mean the scene in the Dead Zone (Eastwood – Dirty Harry) where he and his partner are chased by that RC car with an explosive strapped to it?
