How can we ever get past the fear-mongering?

The answer is what I’ve been advocating for over a year now: Leave the fear-mongering to the fear-mongerers in the Republicrat parties and go our own way.

Drugs and such are the States’ jurisdiction anyway, and it’s best the fed got out of that business, except for what is allowed in the Commerce clause. I used to be pro-drug war, but as big government has blown the whole thing out of both legal and affordable proportions, I’ve seen the error of my ways in that area as well.

It’s just stupid that you have to go through all that rigamarole just to get a little allergy medicine.

Before I leave this thread, and wipe the dirt off my feet, I want to make one last comment.

Some of the posts on here have been deeply disturbing to me. There are a few of the posters who have apparently descended into madness. Maybe it is the stress of all that is happening to our country. I would like to give you the benefit of the doubt, but it is still very troubling.

There are three posters on here who have something in common…the complete inability to see anyone elses viewpoint, and when questioned, break into snarky, nasty insults. Just re-read some of them. I am hoping that today will bring more civility between us. In the meantime, I no longer will engage in “debate” with:

I know that won’t break your heart. But I just wanted to let you know. It was a difficult decision because your posts get so ridiculous, they really need to be responded to. But I will leave that to others. It was either ignore you, or stop posting on Michelle’s blog altogether. I don’t want to do that. But I also don’t wish to deal with the nastiness and just plain idiocy that has been exhibited by just a few, who I believe make us look silly and divisive and gives fuel to the wackos who tune in to see what we are discussing, then use the posts against us.

I don’t think anybody here is lobbying to legalize heroin, but it would be nice to be able to buy Sudafed over the counter again.

If that’s the sort of issue we are arguing over then the country is in great shape.
