The department ruled that white voters in Kinston will vote for blacks only if they are Democrats and that therefore the city cannot get rid of party affiliations for local elections because that would violate black voters’ right to elect the candidates they want.

I don’t even know what that means. I think they meant to say that black voters will vote for blacks only if they are Democrats.

I suspect they are worried that a black conservative/Republican might run and there would be a danger of the black voters accidentally voting for the wrong kind of black candidate.

What the “Department” is saying is that white voters are ra-a-a-a-acist and can only vote for black candidates if they are Democrats.

That racist, bigoted, Jew hating, hate mongering, caste envy promoting, lying, hate filled, self centered, deceitful shakedown artist (who we all know and love, that “Civil Rights” hero, that “Reverend” without an actual church (?)) is a disgrace, but par for the course in 2009 “America” (United States of America).

This is the “New” America, the “America” of the year 2009, when bad is good, and good is bad; when racist are heroes and heroes are racists; when children are “inconvenient” and slaughtering them is a “reproductive right (a la induced abortion), when our elected representative, the President of the United States of America and the members of Congress trash our nation around the world as “evil” and mean, and violent, a horrible place and a horrible, mean peoples, but praise other nations and their violent leaders as “great, wonderful,” etc.

That is not “un-American.”

In today’s USA that is exactly what “America” has become, just as it is “American” to select a specific news agency and shun them, target a segment of the population (a la “Tea party protesters) and openly attack them and demonize them in the public venue, demonize them, foment racist accusations and attacks against them, and foment hatred against them, and do so with the blessing of the White House, the President of the USA, the Congress, and the Justice Department.

I love it. I don’t know if it would work in Kinston, NC due to possible issues with the Primaries, but a state (like WA ST) with a top 2 primary where the top 2 vote getters move to the general this could work (in theory) and cause utter chaos (especially seeing that the court out here already rulled you could claim your party affiliation without the endorsement of the party).

Decades of empty promises that disappear as soon as the votes are counted. A arrogant and paternalistic attitude toward the black community. I often wonder what it will take to make some in the Black community wake up to the fact that they are being used big time again and again.

It is obvious that the liberals think that the voters in this town can’t make decisions on their own without the help of “Big Brutha” in the White House. The predominance of blacks puts a racial tone on the decision.

I would be pretty PO’d if I were a voter in that town. They sound both smart and disillusioned with both parties (as am I), and these antics aren’t going to impress them one bit.
