   Ummm … She lied to authorities in making an unsubstantiated charge of wrongdoing on the part of a reporter asking important questions of a political candidate. Stop acting like it’s not a big deal.

   Making these charges in a police report would be perjury if only an oath to the truth were taken. Perjury IS a big deal, and so is lying to police when requesting a police report.

   After all, you DO have the right to remain silent, regardless of your status as plaintiff or defendant, so there’s no reason to lie in the first place.

    And yes, filing false charges and making false allegations to avoid a question you do not like is bad form and illegal so yeah, for some of us it is a big deal.

    What if someone accuses you of a crime simply because they do not like your argument? Are you willing to expend the time, energy and maybe finances to “defend” yourself against a “crime” that you never committed in the first place? Seems rather chickens**t to me but then again, I believe in taking responsibility for my actions so what do I know?
