This is just what the ACLU, Obama and all dems want; US security secrets (including the identity of covert personnel) spilled out in open Court, and disseminated to and by terrorists, and their equally disgusting attorneys.

Mao supporters, 9-11 truthers, pedophile enablers, racist preachers, domestic terrorists, sterilization wackos, socialists...etc. Can November 2010 get here soon enough????????

Frankly this whole nitwitery over Gitmo would have been legally avoided, IF Bush had asked Congress for a declaration of War against the Taliban-run government of Afghanistan.

Yep.
I thought that immediately in September of 2001.

Instead they handled this like Vietnam, and other miltary actions with insanely-unconstitutional War Powers act of 1973 which does not require the president to ask congress to declare war…just come to congress with your request for more money to spend on a military action.

Yep again.
Just plain stupid.

By doing this they really robbed the country of communicating the true gravity of the situation (they attacked us on our soil, and/or allowed agents to do this on their behalf i.e. the Taliban), and thus practically invited the anti-war nuts to come out.

Not that those dangerous, domestic-enemy idiots ever need an invitation.

Whereas had they done this the constitutional way, a person who opposed the war in Afghanistan could be really be put on the spot with nowhere to hide: Either you are for the US or against the US.

Yep a third time.
Agree completely.
Even the socialist Roosevelt asked for a declaration of war.

Let the misunderstood and oppressed lads go-in a world full of jihadist they are but a pimple on the rump of an elephant. Let the lads go and all the world will love us again and all will be sunshine and roses.
Offer to settle them here;
ACORN can help get them housing in Valerie Jarrett's apartments and they can get teaching jobs at the University of Chicago.

Unfortunately it will take the Taliban to usurp Afghanistan then Pakistan and seize whose nuke warheads to slip into New York harbor and incinerate several million people before this country has the sense to connect the dots at the consequences of "just pull out!" As precious the lives of our people in uniform are, you don't save/protect far more lives by not doing what needs to be done.

Why are they being prosecuted in open court? Are our military courts considered American courts? I think someone was trying to be too cute by half in adding language about America Courts to the bill. This is not a poison pill. A true poison pill would have been to say ‘civilian courts.’

A military court is an American court for military personnel and those captured in battle by US miltary personnel, only subject ultimately to the US Supreme Court. what the left have been trying to do for years is diminish the authority of miltary courts to the point of only having them decide cases of whether or not an offender should be kept in the military.

Keep in mind they used to execute servicemen for desertion in wartime (declared war, that is)

Frankly this whole nitwitery over Gitmo would have been legally avoided, IF Bush had asked Congress for a declaration of War against the Taliban-run government of Afghanistan. Side point : I remember some of the people who were against the draft and Vietnam saying to me as a child that they 'would only go and fight IF the US proper was attacked'...I never believed this for a minute...had there been a proper Declaration of War made, Bush could have legally and morally left our actions in Afghanistan, at least, unassailable, and the Code Pinkos would be in jail where they belong, and not being celebrated as MY equal by the left and slacker media.

I know that I should probably stop harping on this but this guy has GOT TO MAKE UP HIS LITTLE MIND. IN OR OUT. OUT OR IN. Guys are getting killed over there, in planes, in tanks, foot soldiers, special forces, believe me I KNOW THIS PRESIDENT IS KILLING PEOPLE EVERY SECOND HE WAFFLES OVER THIS DECISION.
Not much intelligence in the faces of those masks. Looks like a typical day at the office for Holder and his staff.

What's my next job?
What should I do now?
Just wind me up, I'll dust off your desk.
Dum de dum dum.

Can we just use the dear old Geneva Convention that the libs so loved to throw in our faces … I mean refer to before?

I agree with the liberals...we need to use the Geneva Conventions. Anyone read the conventions? I have. "Hello, Gitmo...shoot them". End of problem and in compliance with the Conventions. Personally, I would look into buying the Pitcairn Isles. Besides, the world declaring them another "Devil's Island", it would make a fine prison. Hundreds of miles from anywhere.

Besides, the world declaring them another “Devil’s Island”, it would make a fine prison. Hundreds of miles from anywhere.
