Dear GOP: If you don’t like “Chicago-style politics”…

By Michelle Malkin  •  October 23, 2009 09:41 AM

So, the GOP leadership is waking up to Team Obama’s “Chicago-style politics.”

Here’s GOP leader John Boehner condemning the White House heavy hand.

I was in the Windy City last night for the United Republican Fund’s 75th anniversary. URF is committed to electing conservatives to office and I was impressed with the number of fresh, young conservative faces who are running against the culture of corruption in both parties.

Cultivating the next generation of stalwart right-thinking and right-voting city council, school board, and state candidates is crucial. Today’s state legislator could well be tomorrow’s president. Look at 1600 Pennyslvania now.

The revolt against the GOP establishment’s backing of radical leftist Dede Scozzafava was a hot topic last night.

Many folks let me know they have witnessed or battled the same forces in their own backyards and races. And they are sick and tired of it.

On a related note, I was also told that national GOP officials pressured the state party not to endorse/promote my appearance at the URF event. Perhaps if I had won a Margaret Sanger award, endorsed card check, supported higher taxes, and cozied up to ACORN front groups, Beltway GOP elites pushing “practicality” over principle would be more welcoming.

The GOP shouldn’t balk at Democrats’ Chicago-style politics that seek to isolate/demonize opponents while practicing those very same marginalization tactics on its own conservative base.

***

Side note: I’ll be in Lake Charles, Louisiana tonight for a GOP women’s event. It’s great to get out on the ground.

The Republicans want all their races split in 2010 by the Independents running for the same offices? So what happens the Democrats stay in power in the house and senate?

I won’t vote lesser of two evils if the Republican Party has to stay in the deep freeze for another election cycle to figure out that the “MAJORITY” of Americans, have had enough so be it. I am an Independent who leans Libertarian. So I am not married to the Republican Brand.

For some reason the Republicans don’t get that ALL Independents are not Wobbly Liberals or Moderates. There is a demographic of American citizens like myself, that have watched the two parties divide us all. They keep us bickering with each other, while they POWER GRAB those people are Progressives in both parties. I won’t vote for a Progressive candidate if I had to eat dirt to survive.

    Enough is Enough.

There are liberal weeds in our conservative garden. Basic farming 101:

We must begin with good seed, and select a good ground to cultivate, plant and nurture that good seed.

Next comes periodic watering, tilling, and weeding around the tender plants, otherwise, the weeds will take over and choke out the the good crop we hope to achieve.

Good seed yields a good crop; fruitful and beneficial to all. But to allow a garden to go untended will yield a field of weeds that spread, take over, and kill the entire garden.

I could go on and on, but will stop here.

I believe that because we are right we will prevail in the battle of ideas, unspoiled by the taint of a corrupt campaign finance scheme that works against the very conservative reform of government that is the object of our labors.

The Republican Party will prevail because of our principles, because that’s what it’s about, my friends: principles, not special- interest money or empire or ego.

Why should you fear a candidate who shares your values? My friends, I am a Reagan Republican who will defeat Al Gore.

In the meantime, the “leadership” promotes Dede, Charlie Crist, Arlen Specter, John McCain, et.al., then wonders why the rank-and-file doesn’t trust them.

How many more losses is it gonna take before THEY listen to US!?!?

As tre said, it is another exhibit in just how much like the other half of the “bipartisan” Party-In-Government the national GOP, as well as some of the state/local GOPs (I’m looking right at the ones in NY-23) have become.

Their attitude is going to continue as the default GOP one until conservatives shove the PIGs out of power entirely. After that, conservatives will have to maintain vigilance guarding against its return.

Republicans suck. We are in the most dangerous period of American history and we have absolutely no opposition party to put a halt to the Obama tyranny.

Barry Soetoro (aka Barack Obama) is a grave, imminent danger to every one of us… talking about it, exposing the lies, complaining about it, pointing out hypocrisy, observing that the Constitution has been marginalized will not get the job done.

We need someone to lead us to regime change before it becomes too late. So,it will not be a Republican… we need to get organized quickly and forcibly assert the Constitution of the United States of America.

Yup. No republican *spit!* will challenge Obama – now, or in the 2012 election. Or ever. Because every one of them are standing by and doing nothing. That’s exactly how it’s going to be, Bruce.

Absolutely right on the money, Nostradamus.

If they’re not going to stand by conservative principles, why have a Republican Party?

For some reason the Republicans don’t get that ALL Independents are not Wobbly Liberals or Moderates. There is a demographic of American citizens like myself, that have watched the two parties divide us all. They keep us bickering with each other, while they POWER GRAB those people are Progressives in both parties. I won’t vote for a Progressive candidate if I had to eat dirt to survive.

Bingo Loree. It is foolish to think all independents are afraid of conservatives. I’m independent, and you can be sure it is not because I am worried about republicans being too conservative. Funny thing is, in spite of what the media spews, I’m no right wing radical. There are some basic principles that steer my way of thinking. Like fiscal responsibility and integrity. Plenty of other views, but those two are non-negotable. If the republican party can mangage that, I’ll consider. But not before.

Comeon guys! Let’s shake the RNC. The GOP leadership has not heard from all of us. Call, fax, email Michael Steele, Newt Gingrich, and the Coalitions. (I have, but am doing it again!)

I understand we do not march to the same drummer in all instances, but we do want to have candidates with Conservative core values.

Conservatives must take leadership control of all the Republican committees – run off the RINOs. Then can guys like Doug Hoffman get a fair shot at election. Only when that fails to take back Congress do you talk about running “moderates”.
