“They are reporters, not trivia experts. And the buzzer is complicated.”

By Michelle Malkin  •  October 26, 2009 03:55 PM

You’ll love the excuses being made for the abysmal Jeopardy! performances of CNN anchors Wolf Blitzer and Soledad O’Brien, including:

“They are reporters, not trivia experts. And the buzzer is complicated.”

They forgot to add: Alex Trebek hogs the teleprompter.

Wah!

There were at that time 31 governors (R) (including Bush himself). At the kickoff on the capitol steps, one had a family emergency, so 29 of the 30 traveling governors were on the steps.

Oh and by the way. I was on Jeopardy. The buzzer is not complicated. If you can operate a clickable ball-point pen, you can operate the buzzer.

In the regular run of Jeopardy, if you can pass the tests required to get you on the show, you’ll likely know the answers to about 90% of the questions that you’ll see once you’re a contestant.

Clearly, along with simplifying the questions to a “Celebrity” level, the show bypasses the screening process which might have winnowed out Wolfie and his idiot co-anchors.

Wolf Blitzer beclowned himself on Celebrity Jeopardy, and it’s nobody’s fault but his own.

If one side gets blasted for racist comments, then the other side should receive the same anger for when they say something equally insensitive. The newspeople should stick to the factual news (as distinguished from opinion) as well.
