Really? Really? And you know his tears are "fake" because you've become the fake tears detector? Hmmmm... it sounds like you have a beef with Beck but not with Grayson. Why is that?

Then again.... it really isn't your point just more misdirection of the other side uses "fake" tears so when a Dem employs them it shouldn't count. Is that your argument?

I don't know what you have against Glenn Beck and I don't care but at least just admit you have a beef with him and move on. You wouldn't have linked the "fake tears tapes" if there wasn't something more behind it.

So, what exactly gets under your skin about Beck? That he cares about the country and investigating this administration while Obummer water carriers like you would rather point to his "fake" tears as proof that he should be dismissed?

You really need to get over yourself, Chaps. Whatever your beef with Glenn Beck, it has nothing to do with Alan Grayson and you know it.

On October 30th, 2009 at 10:04 am, Marc said:
The letter that gets Grayson crying is an obvious fake. The guy who supposedly lost his mother, (his “only relative”) is only 23 years old. Well, surely the guy has a father. Where is the father? And his mom likely had brothers and sisters so the guy has uncles and aunts. And surely his dad has brothers and sisters so he has uncles and aunts on the paternal side of the family.

My family circumstance is virtually the same as the person in that letter. The only difference is I'm about 20 years older. So it may not be a likely story but it is not unheard of.
This is not why I think his tears are real or that I support his solution to health care. Just lending a little credibility to the story.

Sounds like Chappy is a right-wing fanatic pretending to be a left-wing fanatic pretending to be a right-wing fanatic pretending to be left-wing fanatic in a glorious attempt to discredit left-wing nutjobs.

Of course, no help is needed in that regard as the left-wing nutjobs pretty much have that process well in hand.

I think Chappy got the idea from that old Julie Andrews movie, "Victor/Victoria" which I am sure Chappy thinks is based on his story.

Oh, and Charlie Crist is a weenie and Sarah Palin is a MAJOR BABE and Alan Grayson is a weasel and a stupid git! I think that covers the "OT" issues...

Sounds like another case of “plausible deniability” to me.

No, you idiot. It sounds like another case of you backtracking because you didn't know what the hell you were talking about.

The reporter would know who he spoke with, wouldn't he? If it was really Brown who taped and Gerber is just taking the heat, I'd think the reporter would be more than happy to say "uhhh...I didn't speak with Gerber. I spoke with Brown."

But of course this from the GDP expert who thinks it is published by the Labor Department.

Oh come now, soap. If you can’t make fun of Glenn Beck who can you make fun of? I mean did you watch those clips? His sad sack analogy about basically being the nerdy loser at a party who nobody likes was simultaneously the funniest, and most telling, clip I have seen in ages.

Are you freaking kidding me? Really? Have you ever even watched the show? Do you even understand the points that Beck is trying to make? I mean, are you going to pretend that Beck doesn't cry for real and has a point to make?

I think somebody should cry for this country and it might as well be Beck. Are you? I know I've stayed up nights wondering what's going to happen to me, my husband (who might be deployed) and the country at large. Chaps, do you ever stay up at night just wondering when enough is enough? Or are you just along for the ride?

I gotta tell you I'm sick of it. You don't get it. You don't want to. If it wasn't for Beck, none of us would know half as much about the dealings of this administration than we do now. I think we deserve more than the likes of Alan Grayson's emotional ploy and using the unfortunate stories of people who don't overall represent healthcare.

I'm sorry that you want to turn away and back up an administration that wants to tear EVERYTHING down. Beck is sarcastic, he makes fun of both the parties, and he tears up for a country that has lost its everloving mind. And you're loving it. You're loving the anguish.

You keep turning away from what's goin' on. You keep thinking that this administration is the best.... thing.... ever..... Your version of what's right is tainted by partisan loyalty.

Just on a hunch, I checked Drudge to see if it said something about Brown. And lo...it too in its headline falsely claimed it was Brown who taped the conversations.

Coincidence, I am sure.

This just in! Jerry Brown, Attorney General of California, former Governor of California, and current candidate for the office of Governor of California, admits he has illegally taped phone calls with reporters.

Your illiteracy amazes me. Reread that article and tell me again who admitted to taping the conversation.

This just in! Jerry Brown, Attorney General of California, former Governor of California, and current candidate for the office of Governor of California, admits he has illegally taped phone calls with reporters.

These acts are a clear violation California Penal Code Section 632 which prohibits the recording of private telephone conversations without the notification and consent of all parties prior to taping.

I wonder if the press will make a big deal of this and if anyone in the California government will be going after Brown?

Evidently, this is only a crime if done by conservatives.
