A blog often moves quickly and has some spelling errors and typos. Such is the nature of a blog. Here’s a hint, besides a good joke, staying on topic is a highly regarded skill in the blogosphere. Nit-picking over spelling is not.

I expect spelling errors to happen along with typos. We’re all adults here. As long as a comment is coherent and cogent, I don’t mind if it’s littered with spelling errors. If you’re a partisan ideologue like les, spelling errors will affect you more.

Oh, goody, yet another spelling and grammar authority. As a former teacher, I had to correct grammar, syntax, and spelling for a living by 8th graders, but what I found more criminal were the lack of sentence transitions, content, backing up one’s assertions with actual “facts,” as well as just out and out incorrectly asserting historical facts that were not only untimely, but just plain illogical. Are you guilty of this, les?

I don’t normally harp on critics of those who “misspell” but I’m going to make an exception. You know, since this is a blog and all, spelling isn’t as much a consideration as it is in real life, formal communication. Everybody misspells, les, EVERYBODY.

Karma is a cruel, fickle mistress. I’ve met more liberals who could spell but couldn’t string together a coherent sentence to save their lives. The biggest shames are the young people who don’t know their own history because they’ve been doused in special PC sauce their entire lives and don’t know up from down. Are you one of those people, les?

Common sense is a beautiful thing. Maybe you should learn some and understand that you’re on Michelle’s blog where the dominant thought is conservative and libertarian. If you don’t like it, and prefer to alienate people through childish spelling critiques, that’s your cause celebe. I like to stick to actually being able to understand what people SAY/WRITE not how they spell.

Oh, and les, before you go on and on about spelling mishaps, perhaps you should take a look at the following word:

friggin

It’s friggin’ not friggin. Any time you take off the “g” in a word you need to put an apostrophe after the n (though this isn’t really adhered to in INFORMAL communication). You also tend to use run-on and incomplete sentences such as the first and second sentences in your post. Gee, isn’t critiquing writing skills fun?

Irony just isn’t a word in the dictionary is it, les? You stay classy.

Oh, and one more thing… please join the get over yourself club with Zyzzyg. I’m sure you two can commiserate and compare notes on issues of logic and spelling.

Why does the Left persist in attempting to define conservatism and Republicanism for our side, when they can’t even pass a health care bill themselves despite their owning two (or all three – depending on the day of the week) branches of government?
