Project Valour-IT update: Team Marines needs you!

By Michelle Malkin  •  November 3, 2009 04:24 PM

The Project Valour-IT fund-raiser for wounded troops is still going strong and runs through November 11.

I’m on Team Marines and we need your help to stay in the lead.

Cassandra at Villanous Company has the inspiring story of injured Marine Cpl. Aaron Mankin and his wife and fellow Marine Diana Mankin. Read the whole thing. And watch the video from Maryann at Soldiers Angels Germany:

Support the men and women in uniform who support America and the cause of freedom around the world.

God bless the marines and the rest of the armed forces. They deserve more than they get.

In America, though, we spell it “valor”

Yes, we need a candidate somewhere we can use as a role model for integrity, honesty, and values. Yet, with a back bone of stainless steel.

God bless those working so hard to help these young people coming home with massive injuries.

Well, let’s see, which team should I choose??

I’m also going to put in a shameless and well deserved plug here for a brand new pro-troops 501c3 non-profit that I’m involved with called ConcertsForTroops.org (link: http://www.ConcertsForTroops.org ) that has the endorsement of the former Commanding Officer at Walter Reed Army Medical Center’s (WRAMC) Warrior Transition Brigade (WTB) as well as other professional references from Baltimore VA Hospital and Aberdeen Proving Grounds. The live music is run by professional musicians so there’s no crappy “music” here, and the NPO itself is run by decorated veterans who have a deeply profound insight on how to boost troops morale.

This emerging NPO has put on morale boosting live music at Walter Reed where CD’s band t-shirts, sports t-shirts, collectors items, and other souvenirs were passed out to the troops as well as giving out donated sports events tickets to our troops for the purpose of boosting morale. Donations are tax deductible.

Concerts ForTroops.org will soon be starting an ongoing monthly morale-boosting Concert Series at Walter Reed and other bases and military hospitals. They need your support in order to do their morale boosting work even better!

    Please help this great cause!

I’m on the Marine Team. Thanks, Michelle!

We also have an eBay auction of donated items: While items are assigned to teams per the donor’s designation, that information isn’t visible there. But, there are some great things available. Three items autographed by Nolan Ryan, with CoAs. Original artwork. Art prints. First edition books. Handcrafts, personalized per the auction winner’s specification. Go check it out!
