Left-wing thug of the day

By Michelle Malkin  •  November 5, 2009 01:18 PM

Just like the anti-Prop. 8 mob in California, the left-wing mafioso in Maine are targeting Americans who oppose gay marriage.

Where are all the civility police to decry the climate of hate?

Voters on Tuesday repealed the state’s same sex marriage law after an emotionally charged campaign that drew large numbers to the polls and focused national attention on Maine.

…”In a defiant speech to several hundred lingering supporters, No on 1 campaign manager Jesse Connolly pledged that his side “will not quit
until we know where every single one of these votes lives.””

“We’re not short-timers; we are here for the long haul,” Connolly told the crowd, some of whom wiped away tears as he spoke. “Whether it’s just all night and into the morning, or next week or next month or next year, we will be here. We’ll be fighting, we’ll be working. We will regroup.”

Health insurance is generally sold per the person insured, so two pay twice as much as one. If you have a legal contract with the other person instead of marriage, life is so much easier.

Actually, the term falls under the Liberal definition of “hate speech.”

A phobia is defined as an irrational fear of something, which further implies that the person with one is emotionally disturbed. So the start of any discussion on the topic begins with the assumption that you, the heterosexual, have a mental problem.

To me the term “Homophobe” is on the same level as the “N” word. You have every right to instantly demand an apology of anyone who calls you one or it’s “discussion over.”

Being gay is not something that is mainstream. Most people don’t have those inclinations. There was a study that showed about 1-2% of the population is gay. However, that number is probably low due to various reasons including unwillingness to admit it to a study. Still the % is very low. So low that being gay can be considered abnormal. Of course 98% of Hollywood movies have a gay reference in them so as to suggest to the public that being gay is normal and is all around us. It may be so in Hollywood but I doubt it.

This can cause a lot of consternation for those that are gay. They want to be legitimized. They want other people to think of them as normal, that being gay is a normal part of life. That they are not different or bad as some people think.

The gay marriage issue is how they are trying to change that perception. To normalize it or legitimize it. To make it mainstream acceptable.

They read results like this as saying they are not normal. That what they feel inside is unacceptable. That makes it hard for them to reconcile their feelings. Some lash out to cover their insecurity, others regress into depression and anxiety.

We need to have compassion for those different than ourselves. That doesn’t mean we have to change the traditional view of marriage or change our own values, morals, or beliefs. And they shouldn’t expect that we should just as we shouldn’t expect them to change. 98% to 2% is a tough vote obstacle to overcome. They expend way more effort on this than they should. They can have their lifestyle. They just need some things changed to make it work better. Dumping on non gays is futile and doesn’t solve their internal anxiety. Men can still love men and women can love women. They don’t need to force everyone to agree so they feel legitimized. They can do that for themsleves but society needs to be more tolerant and recognize individual differences.

I’m considering the idea that Islam should not be considered a religion at all since all civil laws must be subordinated to sharia law. If we name it a political movement, we can make it’s activities illegal and kick it’s converts out of the military just like we do KKK activists.

If it is a political movement that advocates something contrary to the Constitution of the United States, then, maybe, it shouldn’t be treated as a religion. What is it the left does if a pastor preaches something they don’t like? Advocate removing their tax-exempt status? Sauce for the goose.

Like I said after the gays lost in Cali, don’t these people get that you will only change hearts and minds through non-violent struggle, NOT INTIMIDATION AND THREATS? Is this guy really that stupid?

Obama Makes Polygamy a 21st Century Issue
by Phyllis Schlafly November 6, 2009

No sooner had we celebrated the exit of Barack Obama’s Green Jobs Czar, Van Jones, because of his Communist connections, another off-the-wall Administration embarrassment surfaced. President Obama nominated for commissioner of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) a woman who signed a radical manifesto endorsing polygamy.

We thought our nation had settled the polygamy issue a century and a half ago, but this nomination makes it a 21st century controversy. Obama’s nominee for the EEOC, a lesbian law-school professor named Chai R. Feldblum, signed a 2006 manifesto endorsing polygamous households (i.e., “in which there is more than one conjugal partner”).

This document, entitled “Beyond Same-Sex Marriage: A New Strategic Vision for All Our Families & Relationships,” argues that traditional marriage “should not be legally and economically privileged above all others.” The American people obviously think otherwise, and current laws reflect our wishes.

Feldblum is not the only pro-polygamy Obama appointee…
