My point is that you can't explain the big picture by giving a personal testimony. I don't think people should be discouraged from getting the flu shots. It's unfair to be protected from the flu because everyone around you took the minimal risk associated with the vaccines while you were never exposed to the flu because they never caught it and spread it to you. We must all share the risk of the injections equally to prevent widespread epidemics. This is why now as a civilian I do not get it as I figure I will get it anyway and it is better to let your body build up the immunites naturally.
