U.S. Supreme Court rejects John Muhammad’s appeal
The Beltway jihadist John Muhammad will be executed tomorrow, barring any last-minute clemency action by Democrat Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine. Muhammad’s Supreme Court appeal was rejected:
Washington area sniper John Allen Muhammad’s scheduled execution will go forward Tuesday unless Virginia Gov. Timothy M. Kaine intervenes, after the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday rejected the sniper’s final legal appeal.
Muhammad, 48, has exhausted all appeals of his capital murder conviction in the slaying of Dean H. Meyers, 53, at a Prince William County gas station on Oct. 9, 2002. Muhammad’s last chance now rests with Kaine (D).
Gordon Hickey, a spokesman for Kaine, said the governor was aware of the Supreme Court’s decision but had not yet announced his own decision on clemency. The governor can allow the execution to occur as scheduled, delay it or commute Muhammad’s sentence.
Muhammad’s attorneys had argued that the sniper is mentally ill and that he should have been granted a competency hearing before his trial, at which he represented himself briefly. Muhammad has maintained his innocence.
Yes, Muhammad’s lawyers argued that he was “mentally ill.” Been there, done that.
Now, place your bets on his last words:
If his execution goes forward, Muhammad will have a brief opportunity to speak before deadly chemicals are injected into his arms.

Given all the recent spin from the MSM over Ft. Hood and muslim sensitivity, I wouldn’t put it past Kaine to pull the plug for reasons of “continued investigation into motives of minorities” and “hate motives of majorities”. Sounds sick, but would fit well into the mess we’re in.

I think this issue has the potential to reach deeply into the ranks of political centrists and make them question the whole PC culture and the distortions of the MSM. As Obama lamely suggested, I intend “to stay on it.”
Muhammed is almost a sympathetic character who was victimized by the death cult of islam. OK, not really…this POS made his choices and will receive his condign punishment. Still, islam claims both the guilty and the innocent while the world soft pedals its evils in the name of another perversion: political correctness that attempts to give the cult merit and legitimacy it shall never have.

Just how long would these three idiots think reasonable people should wait before executing this worthless animal? It is not like this hasn’t taken 8 years and numerous appeals.
Exactly what do they think they are going to discover dragging this out for 8 or 10 more years? These people make a farce out of our justice system.
I doubt Kaine will offer any clemency. Too many people remember the fear. Besides, I would execute the way they do in the Islamic Middle East…hang him, or find someone with a samurai sword. Many people feel that would be “cruel and unusual” punishment. Cruel to who? The witnesses? Personally, I would prefer the trapdoor or the sword, than watching chemicals slowly flow into my arm.

I can see why that show just can’t seem to find an audience. Too many facts, too much logic presented with far too much clarity and common sense. No. I still remember the fear that thousands felt, and the news reports that someone else had been shot. We were scared to go shopping and, especially, to pump gas. I also remember the traffic jams on the highways as police checked “white vans” and anything else they suspected. All people with actions like that are mentally ill, but there is a line drawn as to whether he knows what he did, or not. He knew the consequences, and used Allah as his crutch in rationalizing the murders. I doubt he’ll be forgiven for anything, here on earth or heaven, but I leave judgement to God. I hope Malvo never gets out.
