Hey, you know how President Obama constantly carps about having inherited all the nation’s worst problems? Well, there’s one problem he did indeed inherit from the Bush administration — but it’s a problem he won’t acknowledge because it indicts the wretched excesses of the Left. The problem is Washington’s tolerance fetish. The path to Fort Hood was paved not just with political correctness (as even some left-wingers are beginning to acknowledge), but specifically with blind tolerance for “diversity” and open borders and indiscriminate lowering of standards at the expense of national security.
The death toll will not abate until this administration tears off the Hello Kitty band-aids it applied to the body politics in its rush to “heal” — and instead treats the gangrenous p.c. infection.
With AG Eric Holder set to attend a grievance-mongering banquet involving jihadi-coddling CAIR next week, that’s not bloody likely.

The violence at Fort Hood, President Obama told mourners on Tuesday, was “incomprehensible.” The “twisted logic that led to the tragedy,” he reiterated, may be “too hard to comprehend.” If the Bush administration suffered a systemic failure of imagination on homeland security, the Obama administration is suffering an willful failure of comprehension.
What exactly is so hard to comprehend? Fort Hood jihadist Nidal Hasan made his means, motives, and inspiration all too clear for those willing to see and hear. In his 2007 slide presentation to fellow Army doctors on “The Koranic World View As It Relates to Muslims in the Military,” Hasan spelled it out: “We love death more then (sic) you love life!”
Hasan exposed the deadly tension between his adherence to Islam and service in the U.S. military. Slide 11 stated: “It’s getting harder and harder for Muslims in the service to morally justify being in a military that seems constantly engaged against fellow Muslims.” Slide 12 cited Koranic sanctions for killing fellow believers. And Hasan made clear he wasn’t alone among Muslim soldiers who “should not serve in any capacity that renders them at risk to hurting/killing believers unjustly.”
Slide 13 ominously listed “adverse events” involving Muslim soldiers– including the fatal 2003 fragging attack on American soldiers in Kuwait by Sgt. Hasan Akbar (who was sentenced to death but remains alive while his case is on appeal); the desertion case of Lebanon-born Muslim Marine Wassef Ali Hassoun; and the espionage case of Muslim chaplain James Yee (the charges were dropped, but the case raised lingering security concerns about Muslim chaplains at Gitmo and elsewhere trained by terror-linked, Saudi-subsidized institutes).
Hasan missed a few “adverse events” that have faded from public memory in our reflexive age of “Islam is peace” emotionalism-over-comprehension:
– John Muhammad, the Beltway jihadist put to death Tuesday night, was a member of the Army’s 84th Engineering Company. As I’ve reported previously, Muhammad was suspected of throwing a thermite grenade into a tent housing 16 of his fellow soldiers as they slept before the ground-attack phase of Gulf War I in 1991. Muhammad was admitted to the Army despite being earlier court-martialed for willfully disobeying orders, striking another noncommissioned officer, wrongfully taking property, and being absent without leave while serving in the Louisiana National Guard.
Although Muhammad was led away in handcuffs and transferred to another company pending charges for the grenade attack, an indictment never materialized. Muhammad was honorably discharged from the Army in 1994 before brainwashing young Lee Malvo in black nationalism and jihad – and then carrying out the three-week killing spree together that left 10 dead in 2002 in the name of Allah.
– Muslim American soldier Hasan Abujihaad was convicted last year on espionage and material terrorism support charges after serving aboard the USS Benfold and sharing classified info with al Qaeda financiers, including movements of US ships just six months after al Qaeda operatives had killed 17 Americans aboard the USS Cole in the port of Yemen.
– Jeffrey Leon Battle was a former Army reservist, convicted of conspiring to levy war against the United States and “enlisting in the Reserves to receive military training to use against America.” He had planned to wage war against American soldiers in Afghanistan.
– Egyptian Ali A. Mohamed joined the U.S. Army while a resident alien despite being on a State Department terrorist watch list before securing his visa. An avowed Islamist, he taught classes on Muslim culture to U.S. Special Forces at Fort Bragg, N.C., and obtained classified military documents. He was granted U.S. citizenship over the objections of the CIA. Honorably discharged from the Army in 1989, Mohamed then hooked up with Osama bin Laden as an escort, trainer, bagman and messenger. Mohamed used his U.S. passport to conduct surveillance at the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi; he later pled guilty to conspiring with bin Laden and admitted his role in the 1998 African embassy bombings that killed more than 200 people, including a dozen Americans.
Political correctness is a gangrenous infection. My generation has submitted to a toxic diet of multiculturalism, identity politics, anti-Americanism and entitlement. The problem festered under the Bush administration. Despite 9/11, government at all levels refused to screen out jihadi-apologizing influences in our military, at the FBI, in prisons, and even fire departments. [And in the GOP, too.] Despite the bloody consequences of open borders, the Bush Pentagon allowed illegal aliens to enter the military. One of my favorite P.C. idiocy moments from the Bush State Department: Spa days as counter-terrorism! The grievance lobby has plied the Muslim jihadist-as-victim narrative for nearly a decade now.
They prevail. In June, Muslim domestic terror suspect Abdul Hakim Mujahid Muhammad went on another shooting spree at an Arkansas recruiting station that left one serviceman dead. The Obama Justice Department response: To redouble its efforts to use “criminal and civil rights laws to protect Muslim Americans.”
Next week, Attorney General will speak at a banquet featuring the Council on American-Islamic Relations, an unindicted co-conspirator in the terrorism financing case against the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development.
How did Fort Hood happen, obtuse Washington asks. Simple: Blind diversity equals death.

I have written about David Hamilton before.
He is the federal judge who believes it is a violation of the first amendment for Christians to pray at school events, but is not a violation of the first amendment when Muslims pray at school events.
He is also the judge who was cited by the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals for abusing his power by keeping an injunction in place on an informed consent law despite the law clearly being constitutional.
Barack Obama has naturally appointed the man to the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals — the very court that said Hamilton had abused his power.
Call your Senator today and tell him to vote against cloture on David Hamilton’s nomination. Call 202-224-3121. Ask for your Senator. Tell him to oppose cloture and oppose the nomination of David Hamilton.
Of course. Obama wants every turd he can find.
I appreciate the line of thinking that seeks to understand the motives and reasoning behind an enemy’s actions for that’s what allows us to contain, disarm and even defeat that enemy; but not the line of policy and inaction that appears to all but placate and accommodate an enemy.
This PC baloney has got to give way to common sense and safety – it’s been nothing short of a boon to our worst adversaries.

If Muslims are only going to fight for America when we are not under attack by Islamic forces, they should simply leave this country. My father and his four brothers (all French ancestry) served in WWII, four in Europe. I can still recall my uncle, who was a tank driver in Patton’s Third Army, once saying that his forces probably shot more French than Germans in the beginning.
We had German-Americans also shooting Germans, Catholics shooting Catholics, Lutherans shooting Lutherans and so on. What special rule applies to Muslims when it comes to defending the shared interests of a NATION?
This is not a question to be posed only to the “extreme fringe” of Islam but to ALL of Islam: are you with us or against us? That is a very simple question. Drop the “nuance”. Give us a straight answer.

We have an all volunteer military. Every single member volunteered for the duty. To allow one group who has already volunteered to then be released as concientious objectors would set a different standard for one group than another.
The correct course of action is to actively look for traitors, spies, saboteurs, fifth columnists etc, root them out, try them, and execute them.

Then read the story of Desmond Doss, a REAL concientious objector during WWII. Not able to get out of the military, he served bravely as a medic, risking his life above what was required, saving hundreds of soldiers lives, all the while enduring severe hazing from his fellow troops. Compare and contrast.
We have placed our enemies in positions of authority and power. Election 2008 was a horrendous, costly mistake. I find it difficult to believe that even this nation of sheep is incapable of seeing the danger and destruction taking place.

There is also the case of Alvin C. York. He was drafted into the Army during WWI and wished to be released as a concientious objector (he was a Christian). He was given American history to read, changed his mind and deployed with his unit (82nd Infantry Div) to France where he was highly decorated, including the Medal of Honor.
The Muslims do not object to killing. It’s just that their preferred targets are us.

When there was still time to publicly vet the story of the real person hiding under that slick persona we didn’t demand questions be answered. Hasan was the Army’s “pet Muslim.” Sure, he snarled and growled and made people uneasy, but he was so intriguing, so “different” that they couldn’t bring themselves to get rid of him.

If Mr. Hasan (I won’t call him by his military rank as it would be giving him an honorable title) doesn’t want to be deployed to fight America’s wars he can take off his uniform and walk out the gate. There is nothing holding him here, he is a free man and can voice his opinion freely, once he is out of uniform. As long as he is in uniform, he is sworn to follow the lawful orders of his superiors.
BTW, MSNBC’s Chris Matthews questions, “That’s not a crime to call up al-Qa’ida, is it?” Actually, Mr. Matthews it is. Anyone with a DoD clearance (and I imagine Mr. Hasan had one since he had to work with troops deploying on classified missions) is required to report any contact with any organization that advocates overthrow of our government, whether they contact you or you contact them in doing “research.”

AN INSUFFICIENTLY COLORFUL COLOR GUARD?
How deep does the culture of political correctness run in the military and the service academies? We’re getting some idea in the case of Major Nidal Malik Hasan. The Hasan story has rightly overwhelmed the news. Evidence of the red flags preceding his murder spree continues to accumulate and enrage. One inevitably sees in the disregarded red flags a case of political correctness run amok.
The story of the Naval Academy’s insufficiently colorful color guard has not quite broken out yet, and perhaps it won’t, but it provides additional context to the case of Nidal Hasan. It appears that Naval Academy senior commanders decided during the World Series to remove two Midshipmen from the color guard that appeared. What was their offense? The color guard was deemed too white and too male. There was accordingly a push to make the color guard more “diverse.”
Two members of the color guard were removed and replaced by a Pakistani and a woman to achieve the requisite “diversity.” The Pakistani unfortunately forgot his cap and shoes. He himself had to be replaced at the last minute by one of the two middies removed earlier. The midshipmen have reportedly been ordered not to speak of these events (i.e., punishment will be dispensed for violating a direct order) In any event, the middies aren’t talking.

The story was picked up by the Navy Times, which ran this story on Sunday, and by the Washington Post, which follows up this morning with the official line of the Navy brass partly disputing earlier accounts.

I am so sick of hearing about the value of diversity. Ok, name them!!! In moderate amounts, diversity makes sense, but not is massive doses. It’s like thinking, “2 tylenol dulls the pain, so 20 will make me feel top of the world”. Look around the world. Where will you always find the places with low crime and high quality of life? It’s always in places where the population is homogenous, and has a uniform culture and belief system. If diversity was so great, Brazil would have the highest quality of life. Research has shown that the more diverse an area, the less trust the people have in one another (of course the researcher tried to spin it that we don’t preach about the value of diversity enough).
These liberal idiots would rather lose a war and their freedoms, than lose their blind faith in PC and diversity (aka the left’s religion).
Liberals live in perpetual fear. That’s what happens when you don’t have faith.
I have lived in America for 61 years. I am the daughter of a US Navy doctor and his wife, and I have seen my country go from what used to be traditional America to something I no longer recognize.
I hope everyday, ordinary American citizens realize what is happening. The country is staggering under the burden of political correctness and “diversity”, and liberals who teach our children to hate their own country.
If we don’t wake up and fight back against those who would destroy everything that America is, we are doomed. The Left will have destroyed us from within. The enemy isn’t at the gates — it is inside, and has seized control of our government. I pray there are enough Americans left to take back our country and return it to what it once was, and to do it now. Time is growing very short. It is almost too late, and if people don’t pay attention, in a year or two they will look around in a bewildered way and ask, “What happened?”
If they do not, the battle for America will be lost and those who didn’t pay attention until it was over will blame everyone else for what happened.
And I will have moved to some other country where there is still some small vestige of freedom left. I will never forget what my country was and the promise that it offered, and I will regret to the end of my days that not enough others cared enough to stop its destruction.
I only hope we are not too late.

The republicans held congress for 12 years, 6 of that with their own president. Not once did I see any attempt to redress Roe, secure the border or bring back immigration to pre-1965 levels. They had the chance to do many things and instead expanded big government and continued the insane immigration lottery that gives visas to residents of nations that have not had historically high levels of immigration to the US, i.e. muslim ME nations.
Why won’t republicans ever govern they way they run?
I’m sure Obama believes this to be to his advantage. Me? I’m not so sure. I think it shows how weak he is. But, one thing it does say, is that convservative news outlets, conservative radio et al have the attention of the majority and that translates to power which Obama concedes by allowing Fox an interview.

Is this a sign that the brick wall of PC ignorance is cracking? This was just posted at NPR blog reporting that in 2008, Walter Reed senior officials had met to ask whether Hasan was psychotic… among other questions.
On the same note, has anyone else noticed the new “connectedness” at the fishwrap of record? They have not been shy in covering this issue either.

I just finished reading a new book about Columbine and the author concluded with several professionals that shooter Eric Harris was a pshycotic and that Dylan Llebold was a depressive suicidal who went along on a death wish. They also concluded that there was little harrasment by “jocks”, as was initially reported. There’s a bit of a parallel here maybe.

I work for Walmart at the Home Office in Bentonville and one of the great perks we have is the number of celebrities and VIPs that regularly come to speak. Today, Veterans Day, was no exception.
Today we were visited by Marcus Luttrell a real American hero who when telling his story of ambush, combat, survival, teamwork and our enemy didn’t pull any punches.
His story was the true story of an American hero.
One of the most interesting things he said is something we never hear in the MSM. He told us that it was easy to determine if someone was Taliban or a simple villager because Taliban leaders had straight teeth and spoke English. He said he asked one of the Taliban how he had learned such good English to which the Taliban leader replied “at Florida State”. He said it was not uncommon for Taliban leadership to have been educated in the West. The Western educated Taliban leaders they captured could just as easily have joined our armed forces as Hasan did.
The enemy is in our midst.

I blame it on the official Democratic Newspeak Dictionary which only allows limited use of the word EVIL. For example, the word is allowed when used to describe “evil rich” or “evil right-wing extremists. But it is not allowed when referring to mass muderers, child rapists, or enemy combatants. The phrase “axis of evil” is strictly forbidden when used to refer to enemy countries, but is encouraged when used to refer to right-wing co-conspirators such as talk radio, Fox News, and fundamentalist Christians.
Democratic newspeak prevents the left from recognizing true evil when it stares them in the face. But they have no trouble seeing evil in the imaginary threats hiding under their beds. The evils of global warming and over-population, which might harm us decades into the future, are much higher priorities to them than the threat of Islamic extremism that seeks to destroy us today and has already killed thousands.
It also indicts most of this administration’s short-sighted policies, from re-defining terrorism to conducting witch hunts on former administration officials and the CIA. That’s why they are frantically trying to come up with excuses for the Fort Hood shootings that do not involve terrorism: “He just snapped”, or “He suffered from PTSD.”
When’s the last time you read about a psychiatrist snapping and going on a random shooting spree after listening to the trama expressed by his patients? It happens every day, right? The only incident I can think of that even comes close was in the movie “What About Bob”. But who wouldn’t want to knock off Bill Murray?
Never mind that the shooter “snapped” over a period of weeks or even years. And disregard that he didn’t counsel soldiers returning from the war, he counseled soldiers leaving for war. Even if PTSD was a communicable disease, like a cold, how do you catch post traumatic stress disorder from someone who hasn’t yet left for the battle field?
President Obama will never admit this was terrorism. If he was honest and admitted that the Fort Hood shootings was an act of terrorism, he would also be admitting that his outreach to Muslims has been a failure, that his speeches alone cannot bring about world peace, and, worst of all, that Dick Cheney was right:
Never mind. Who can stay mad at Obama after such reassuring words from Joe Biden?
Staying “friends” with Muslims reminds me of John McCain and his love for illegals..

On a side note – I heard yesterday that our Peerless Battle General and Dear Leader has thrown out all 4 options for Afghanistan. Some might say this is a permanent dither or, as rumor has it, he wants to recreate the Battle of Zama, because it rhymes with Obama, and he wants to be play Scipio.

2 reasons. He’s in way over his head, and he can’t figure out which option is “pc” and best to increase power for him and his cronies.
Also, I see NYC schools can’t teach the children math. 90% can’t do basic math in college. I bet they know “how wonderful” being left-wing is, and can sing praises to Obama, by heart.

Stillontheroad, their ideal school day is CNN in the morning, and MSNBC in the afternoon. All they need to know is there, except for Spanish class. They have to attend and pass that to be “pc”.
