Voters give corruptocrat Chris Dodd thumbs down

He’s pulling out the stops in Washington with a swine flu power grab and a “financial reform” bill to distract from his ethics quagmire, but corruptocrat Sen. Chris Dodd isn’t fooling home state voters.
Continuing his year-long slide in the polls, the latest numbers show Dodd falling further (h/t DrewM at Ace of Spades HQ):
Connecticut Sen. Christopher Dodd’s backers say they’re skeptical of new Quinnipiac (KWIN’-uh-pee-ack) Poll results showing his approval rating has declined again.
A Connecticut Democratic Party spokeswoman says they have “a hard time believing Chris Dodd has done anything but strengthen his political position.” She says they’re not taking the poll very seriously.
The poll, released Thursday, says 54 percent of voters disapprove of Dodd’s performance. That’s up from 49 percent in September.
It also says former Republican Congressman Rob Simmons and former ambassador Tom Foley would beat Dodd if head-to-head matchups were held right now.
They’re not taking the poll very seriously?
Hubris be Dodd’s name. And it will be the Obama-endorsed Senator from Countrywide’s downfall.

Dodd the Dud.
Yeah right. And that is just a wee little “cottage” he has in Ireland.
Like father like son.
Here’s a very interesting bit of breaking news: Hoffman might have won in NY-23 due to voting irregularities?
It also reports that Hoffman conceded prematurely due to being provided with bogus information. Let’s see where this story goes.
How can this be true if congress has a 20 percent approval rating overall?
MissCcheryl beat me to it.

The bad news is that the idiots who keep re-electing this corrupt, arrogant, socialist are still there.
He’ll be back…….grrrrrr

How can Congress have a 20 percent approval rating and the voters keep re-electing these dishonest clowns–of both parties?
***
ACORN, the SEIU, and some friendly judges can probably override the real votes against Chris Dodd–again–and provide another “victory for the people”.

I’d agree – but even the Hartford Courant has run some less than flattering articles so it might happen that Dodd is defeated.
Of course, the way to beat Dodd is to get a real conservative candidate who can articulate core conservative principles. This unfortunately so far has been lacking.
Are democrats getting the message yet? We know the Republican Party hasn’t.
They are still more afraid of their leaders and financial backers than the voters.
Interesting article.
I did some math regarding the absentee ballots.
Assuming that Owens really does lead by 3,026 votes, then Hoffman needs to receive:
- 65% of the votes if all 10,500 absentee ballots were returned
- 69% if 80% were returned
- 75% if 60% were returned
65% seems kinda possible, but 75% seems very unlikely.
Does anyone know typical absentee ballot return rates?
Will the drones who keep voting this guy to stay in office every wake up?
I doubt it.
They are taking the poll like I take Dodd.
Here you go, research into how
“Power diminishes perception and perspective”
without teddy, dodd is just another phony corrupt politician. with teddy he had the panache to gang rape a waitress in a restaurant.
Eh.
Dodd’s been thumbs-down for as long as I can remember.
Loser.

It is usually because they think the other “clowns” are the ones who are corrupt and dishonest…not their own representative.
Will Dodd get reelected?
Consider the following”
Charlie “What Ethics Problem” Rangel
“Your Mayor for Life” Marion Barry
John “You’re All Rednecks” Murtha
Babs “More Honey for My Honey” Boxer
These were plucked from memory, which isn’t what it used to be. Of course he has a great chance of being reelected. He’ll bring home more bacon, hand out the patronage, get some ACORN action and the SEIU thugs on his side and be sent right back to his favorite restaurant to rape another waitress.
GREAT! Oh please, please continue NOT to take the polls seriously. That would be just fine with me. And while you are at it, think about not even bothering to go to the polls come election time. NOT TO WORRY!
Now that Dodd’s partner in The Waitress Sandwich caper has assumed room temperature, he should do the honorable thing and ride off into the sunset.
Wait. Dodd? Honorable? Never mind.
BTW, Connecticut is the bluest of blue states, at least in the legislature. The Dems have a veto proof majority and this year got to do what they have tried in vain for 20 years. They had a massive income tax increase and the speaker of the Ct. House of Representaives, a leftist named Donovan, actually bragged that it was redistribution of wealth. He bragged that he was taking from the rich and giving to the unionized state employees. This is how far left the state government of Ct. has become. There is a nominally Republican governor named Jody Rell who would not veto the massive tax increase the Dems through at her. Rell allowed it to become law and then to show that she is not a wimp, she gave a speech a few days ago and said “There will be no new taxes in 2010. Read my lips”. She actually said this, I’m not kidding. The Dems in Ct. never raise taxes during an election year. They are too cagey for that. In fact, the same Donovan, who has turned Connecticut into a socialist state, is now saying over and over again that there will be no new taxes this year. The voters of Connecticut are like drugged out zombies. They take whatever thin gruel the Democrats put in front of them. The voters in Ct. are alot like the characters in the hospital ward in “One Flew Over the Cukoo’s Nest” Nurse Ratchet tells them what to do and they do it. Rest assured, Dodd will be relected. Trust me, the voters in Ct. are really that pitiful. This is not Virginia or New Jersey. People in Ct. have no fighting spirit. They are broken and defeated.
I am convinced that the whole voting procedure in the North East is being corrupted by Democrats. It simply isn’t possible that the collective wisdom of the citizenry there would give us the likes of Chris Dodd, Barney Frank, Ted Kennedy (rip), Schumer, Nadler, ad nauseum. These people have no respect whatsoever for this nation.
Poke, I am afraid to say it but things in the northeast are that bad. All of the legislative districts are gerrymandered as are the Congressional districts so that liberals get elected to everything. The big issue in the Connecticut legislature this year was who could raise income taxes the most (not lowering taxes the most but raising them). The Speaker of the State House of Reps. is a guy named Donovan. He brags that he is “soaking the rich” and he always refers to “the idle rich”. I am not sure how you can get rich by being idle but that is his default position. The legislature in Connecticut actually fought over who would get the credit for giving state employees another massive pay increase and better pension benefits. In Connecticut, a state employee retires at age 50 with a pension of 80% of the average of his three top earning years. Chris Dodd has never had a real job but is sure to be reelected and the new governor will likely be the firebrand ultraliberal secretary of state.
