Saturday open thread
Today is a baking day. I’m attempting to make a Bakugan birthday cake for my son. (Here’s last year’s Pikachu cake.) Gulp. I need the Cake Boss! Wish me luck and talk amongst yourselves.

Fondant looks great, but it’s a nightmare to color, isn’t it?
Great job. My suggestion? Freeze the cakes for carving/covering. I had to make a Hello, Kitty cake for a friend’s baby shower and learned that trick the hard way…
Time to let the dogs out.
