The more offensive Newsweek photo of Sarah Palin
Everyone has commented on the cover photo of Sarah Palin that Newsweek editors used — a photo from a Runner’s World spread taken during the campaign.
Whatever the intentions of the left-wing Newsweek editors, I think Sarah looks fabulous.
The truly tasteless photo of Palin that no one is talking about is inside the magazine on p. 33, illustrating Christopher Hitchens’s broadside against Palin populism:

The dregs at MSNBC tried and failed to get away with faked photos of a sexualized Sarah Palin. Newsweek’s weasels found a way to evade responsibility for their rank sexism by using a photo of a real Palin doll in schoolgirl regalia.
Just another manifestation of Female Conservative Derangement Syndrome.
And no, it isn’t “playing the victim” to expose their bigotry.
It’s calling them out.

Well said. While the far left claims that they are the ones who stand for individual choice and freedom, nearly every policy they espouse takes away individual choice and freedom.
In the name of “fairness” they seek to give big brother the power to decide what speech is allowed and what speech is “hate speech” that must be censored. In the name of environmentalism they deny individuals the right to use their own property or remove any oil or coal on that property. In the name of health they seek to force individuals to pay for government-run healthcare and even control their diet. In the name of animal rights (and now climate change), they seek to ban the eating of meat and to limit the use of water or anything else that might harm the most useless of endangered species. In the name of over-population, they seek to control reproduction and even force the use of sterilization and abortion to accomplish those ends…
In short, the left wants to empower government to tightly control what individuals can do. I challenge anyone to describe a typical liberal utopia that does not include a controlling “big brother” and a lot of facism.
Bulls**t. Ever hear of Margaret Thatcher?
Palin has a spine of steel. She won’t blink and she won’t back down – look at what she has taken from the lamestream media – and that was personal. She would humiliate the Arab world because they would have to deal with a powerful woman who isn’t afraid to kick their asses, and that is exactly what we need.
You’re a frigging obtuse moron if you can’t see the incredibly sexist bias and irrational hatred from rags like Newsweak against conservative women.
This is why I detest you libturd assw*pes.
emjem, that’s exactly what jerks like zzzz and silver crap want you to think. That’s why there are trolls on this thread. They want to demoralize us and think that we can’t win, i.e., have Palin as president. Don’t let them or the lamestreams define the outcome of this contest. I think Palin will run and win because her numbers are rising, and Obama’s is sinking. Keep the faith.
Someone needs to go back and dig up some of the early criticisms of Reagan when he became a national conservative figure. The comparison to Palin’s treatment now may scare the Dems even more.
Found an early criticism when they described Reagan’s “boyish” good looks. Sound familiar?????
