   The answer may at first sound simple, but then it ramifies….

   When the government, essentially at the point of a gun, takes/confiscates your money/earnings/savings, it creates a jobs program and buys votes.
   If there is anything left over, it pays for a bit of health care.

   Also, the government’s doing this, as opposed to private individuals’, or charities’, or – horrors! – religious/”faith-based” organizations’; means that the opposite-worldview holders do not have to tolerate the “meddling” of those with whom they have nothing in common: conservatives, traditionalists, people of faith, etc. have a worldview that runs 180-degrees counter to the worldview of the statists/collectivists/communists/fascists, who simply do not have faith, do not believe in faith, and are anti-faith.

   I know I bring this point up frequently; but, that’s because it is correct, accurate, and true: we have been in a culture war against holders of an irreconcilably, diametrically opposite worldview for many decades; in the past 20 years or so, it has expanded to a existential struggle between savagery/barbarism and (Western) civilization.

   We are now at the point where socialists/fascists/opposite-worldview holders/collectivists are allied with barabaric, savage muslim jihadi loons againast Judeo-Christian, Athens-Jerusalem, Western civuilization.

   It is as complicated – or as simple – as that.

    Oh, Honey… some of the people that infest the liberal cesspool I have to live in would be MORE than happy to just take my money right out of my hand… they would just have to put down their worn and faded “Bush Lied, People Died” poster first.     This is why the gov’t should never give money to any charity or “non-profit” organization. They may be giving tax money to a group that you would never consider worthy of donation. In this case, it’s forced donating by proxy.

    Basically, the gov’t should treat everyone with equal contempt. Alas, the socialists are in power and now it’s “Change …or else!”

    I belonged to AARP for a year or so before it became clear that they were merely a socialist/statist organization; since then, I toss the “time to renew”, “come back”, “please join” mailings.
    But, now that I saw this idea, I will send the postage-paid envelopes back to them – with a political comment only, or empty, of course – so that it costs them; just like with the RNC.

    When I received my first one I made the mistake of wasting my time writing a nice letter back telling them I would never join and to stop wasting my time and their money. Now I just crumple up the whole mailing with my pre-printed name and all and drop it in the mail box. I hope they have to pay extra postage for the odd sized envelope!

    Sure you want to express your opinion but I want them to F A I L.

    So perhaps we should be trying to take up their staffs time and thus their money be filling out the form nice and neatly but all wrong or only partially.

    It is a shame as I know a group like AARP, without a political agenda, could benenfit seniors greatly. Is there a conservative version anywhere?
