ACORN Watch: More criminal enterprise antics

Eric Zimmerman at The Hill has new details on mismanaged federal DOJ grants to ACORN and its affiliates:
ACORN and its affiliates received $200,000 in Justice Department grants between 2002 and 2009, according a report issued today by the department’s Inspector General.
No DOJ grants went directly to ACORN, but a handful of grants were awarded either to ACORN affiliates or to other organizations that sub-contracted with ACORN.
The report, requested by House Judiciary Committee ranking member Rep. Lamar Smith (R-Texas), also found a few instances of ACORN mismanagement of federally contracted work.
…For example, ACORN received a $20,000 sub-contract to do community outreach on crime prevention in New York. The organization that contracted with ACORN has not released the funds yet, claimimg that ACORN submitted reimbursements “outside the scope of the agreement,” including “fringe benefits” for the salaried staffer working on the project.
In another instance the city of Phoenix contracted with the “ACORN Institute” to receive about $9,000 to canvass citizens and raise awareness about a tax credit and a tax assistance program. The city hasn’t paid ACORN yet due to “poor reporting by the ACORN Institute regarding another project not related to DOJ grant funds.” Phoenix is trying to terminate the contract with ACORN.
Meanwhile, BigGovernment’s ACORN watchdogs introduce you to ACORN racketeer/prostitution enabler Lavelle Stewart.

More bad news about the POTUS’ alma mater.
Keep up the heat on acorn Michelle. Many are getting this scum bag group in front of the country to see what they are doing. I imagine this bho and mo are not happy campers learning their ‘pet’ project is under fire.

Holder is much too busy investigating the CIA for agressively and effectively preventing further attacks on our soil – and now he’s pretty tied up with providing Al Qaeda a public forum next door to where they murdered 3,000 people. This guy is another Ivy League “genius” with caca for brains.
Reading about more ACORN corruption and incompetence is getting to be like reading about water continuing to run downhill. Yaaaawn.
This is why the connection between government funding and non-profits is so insidious. I believe that non-profits with a worthy mission who are efficient can get funding through charitable giving, but when it’s money taken through taxes or govt fiat (CRA, for example), it too often feeds into the big govt blob.
Attorney General Eric Holder is too busy ensuring that no Muslims are attacked in response to Hasan’s jihadist attack at Fort Hood.
Still no Federal Marshals guarding recruiting stations.

Why haven’t we heard the Attorney General’s plans to hold Acorn accountable for it’s illegal activity?
Why? Evidently because E. Holder has absolutely no intention whatsoever of pursuing any action against Obama’s pet organization. Acorn will have their funding back soon, one way or another. This president will make sure of that.
Ya’ll remember that Citifinancial affliates with Acorn in “assisting” credit-risky applicant to get mortgages. Ya’ll also remember that Citifinacial got a buttload of bailout money, money they used to modify mortgage rates for applicants with past due accounts, people who *gasp* got help getting mortgages via ACORN!!! If you have citicards, GET RID OF THEM!
Seems a moot point to me. If ACORN goes down, doesn’t our POTUS take a hit as well?
I don’t expect Holder to throw ACORN or POTUS under the bus any time soon.
