The indelible whiteness of MSNBC

By Michelle Malkin  •  November 23, 2009 05:07 AM

MSNBC host Chris Matthews, MSNBC reporter Norah O’Donnell, and MSNBC guest Joan Walsh shamelessly played the race card against Sarah Palin and her book-buying audience last week.

In Michigan, O’Donnell smugly noted that Palin’s fans were “largely white — almost no minorities in this crowd.” Matthews parroted the line, assailing the “white crowd.” Walsh likened the gathering to a “paranoid tea party.” Matthews hammered away at the “monochromatic” scene.

Ahem. Check out the masthead of MSNBC TV, “The Place for Politics.” Wear sunglasses and SPF 30 lotion. You’ll need protection from the blinding white glare:

Take a closer look:

White and white.

White.

White.

Pallid white and pasty white.

Does it get any whiter than this?

Oh, and these are the colors of the gang that sneered at Palin’s “white crowd:”

Self-righteously white x 3!

MSNBC’s p.c. pontificators have some nerve clucking about lack of racial diversity.

After the Don Imus debacle, NBC hired a “diversity leader.” By the left-wingers’ own tallying in 2007, guess which network boasted the whitest programming on cable TV during a randomly selected period? Hint: Starts with “M” and ends with “SNBC.”

Palin-bashing racial bean-counters in monochromatic houses shouldn’t throw stones.

Speaking of the MSNBC ghouls, Allahpundit’s got video of when Sarah met Andrea Mitchell.

Oh stop, zigzag. You’re being purposefully obtuse and today it’s just tiresome.

    No, you stop.

What other reason would prompt the likes of Matthews to mention the crowds were mostly white? Just STOP with the inane, “Yep,
    [insert some lame observation here}”
Sometimes you just get too much of people like you, you know?

I don’t know. Maybe he should be asked before assumptions are made about his intent, or whether those people are actually racist.

And, if people like you get too much of people like me, maybe you ought not take me to task and comment on my posts.

As I am wont to say here on many occasions, I’ve been black all my life and I can tell you without a second’s hesitation that in America, the ONLY reason anybody points out that a given gathering is “mostly white” is because they view the circumstance as a negative–period.

The next time my family is together (probably this Thursday) I’ll say something like that, they will all pretty much say, yeah so what, but what about your niece’s husband and their children? Sorry, but no negatives here. Though it is true that race is a deeply woven thread in the fabric of our nation.

My hunch is you doggone well know this so please do us all a favor and just stop with the feigned “I didn’t hear the word ‘racist’” as if that word has to be explicitly said in order to assert its reality.

Did you hear the word racist? Do you think those people are racist? Nothing feigned on my part. No it does not always have to be said, but you have to be more than white to be a racist.

    Just stop. It’s getting dumb.

    No, you stop.

Maybe the MSNBC anchors did not outright label anyone racist because it could cause them some legal trouble. If one were an anchor and didn’t want to have legal trouble, one might use the same sort of tactics MSNBC used. In other words, some might come as close to saying it as they could, while still having plausible deniability. Hum, did I spell that right?

Andrea Mitchell… HA! Hilarious video. That liberal sea hag knows she will never get an interview from Sarah, so the tentacled octopus is practically falling over and sliming the cops like it’s a Beatles concert. Well Andrea, you’ll be 65 in a couple of years. You and your lunatic hubby Alan Greenspan can sit back and reflect on America’s zero interest housing bubble he brought to this country. You’ll have plenty of free time to watch President Sarah fire then prosecute every liberal hiding under their desks in her new administration.

MSNBC gets points for employing a dead person (Andrea Mitchell), the world’s most sanctimonious horses’ ass (Olbermann) and the runner up for that position (Maddow) who also gets extra points for being noisily and snottily lesbian. Horses’ asses, dead people and lesbos. THAT is diversity if I ever saw it. Oh, yeah.

Oh, then please do tell us what their point was about all these white people.

They made an observation. If you want to assign motive to MSNBC, or to the newscaster my friends says are racists, then you, Sharpton and Jackson can respond to all the dog whistles you want.

You still avoid answering the question. That’s expected. You are channeling Charlie Rangel perhaps.

They made an “observation”??? Why? That was the question. What was the grand purpose of this observation? Turrets syndrome? They just blurted it out?

I expect you’ll say you can’t speculate. Oh but you can. But that’s fine. Denial is a classic liberal trait these days. You are fitting right in with their party line.

And don’t lump me in with Sharpton or Jackson. Nice try at an insult. You really have no idea of what you’re talking about.
