[...] To put in perspective Huckabee’s personal moral sense and his attacks on the integrity of gay people for the BEING crime of homosexuality, it is worth recalling his easy attitude toward the DOING crime of murder that led him — over and over and over again — to grant clemency to Arkansas’s murderers against the advice of pretty much every expert in the Arkansas criminal justice system and the families of the victims. This includes the murderer he released who took the lives four police officers in Washington state in Nov. 2009 — for background, see the Washington Independent and Michelle Malkin.
Each person who played a part in Clemmons being released, on multiple occasions, needs to give an account for why they made the decisions they made.

Mike Huckabee has given his account of the decision he made and why he made it. It’s well worth reading and asking yourself how you would have responded, once you know all of the factors that did, and didn't, go into the decision.

Now it's time for the others involved to give their account of why they made the decisions they made.

We all counted you out a long time ago, RWR. You are just a noisemaker trying to bleed off conservatives from the real struggle to keep our country from sinking further into the pit.

No one is counting on you. You are part of the problem, not part of the solution. You always will be part of the problem. If a candidate you liked ever got close to mattering, you would turn on him.

We can count on you for that.
First of all, there are a whole lotta questions that have to be asked of Sarah Palin before anyone can establish her as "conservative", yet you and others blindly line up behind her as if she's some kind of god(dess). Sorry bub. We already have that now, and it sucks.

The people who are the problem are those who continue to blindly follow a political party that has never espoused their ideas and beliefs. Reagan was elected despite the Republicans, not with their support. What's worse is that the "in" thing for Republicans is to pretend they are the new Reagan. These people are trying to "take back" a political party they never had in the first place. They are more than happy to support a government "healthcare plan" as long as it isn't created by Democrats. Never mind that government meddling in such matters is illegal - inconvenient little tidbit there, huh?

If/when Republicans choose to run acceptable candidates, I will support them. Christie was pretty close for a New Jerseyan, and I did vote for him, but there is a lot of work to do in convincing people that the Constitution must be followed. Once that happens, Republicans and Democrats had better wise up or they will either be taken over by conservatives such as yourself or replaced with factions true to the Founders' vision such as those I support.

You need people like me, Roland; and you need us a lot more than we need you. Your decision to be content to support liberals simply because they're less liberal than the Donks merely plays into the Donks' hands. You need people like me to force the debate to the right because people like you don't have the courage to do it. For proof, try to name one legislator in DC that you would support who has opposed healthcare reform (or the stimulus - or the bailouts) on the basis that the Constitution forbids its passage. This is both the simplest and strongest argument against these intolerable acts, and I haven't heard anyone standing on them.

No, my good friend, your LOTE position is the problem. I understand it very well, since I used to hold it myself. The day will come when you will recognize this. In the meantime, it would be wise for you to stop demonizing me by calling me a "noisemaker" and "part of the problem". All you're doing is adding to the nasty taste of the crow you're going to have to eat later.

On November 30th, 2009 at 9:22 pm, love2rumba said:

O’Reilly’s credibility is going down almost as fast as Huckabee’s…O’reilly has become a definite spinmeister when he wants, has he not?.

I've always called his show "The All-Spin-All-the-Time-Zone." He's as phony as a three-dollar bill, and he's always been. He lost me in 2004 when he declared that NOBODY could question John Effing Kerry's fraudulent war record (when THAT was the entire basis for his presidential campaign). This time around, he looked at all of Obowma's fraud and lack of ANY actual experience as being ANYTHING, and told us straight-faced that it was too early to judge, and praised his "intelligence" and "oratory." People who listen and love this clown are empty vessels, because Bill O'Reilly is the master of spin in the media. The way he twists himself into a pretzel on EVERY issue and news report is agonizing to listen to.

Even we know Huckabee has his prints over this decision, but yet Fox has hesitated to even discuss Huckabee’s role because he is an employee of Fox now…very slick.

This disgusts me. I don't know how ANY self-respecting person could see what HE did that lead to the deaths of four police officers and the agony HE caused to their families, and NOT be utterly devastated by it. That Fox is not commenting on it (listening to Glen Beck, and I don't think he's made any hay about it at all--another Fox News employee) only gives credibility to the liberal's notion that they don't HAVE any credibility. I don't watch or trust any of them, so I can't say that I'm disappointed. If Beck doesn't condemn Huckabee's actions, then I WILL be disappointed in him.

O’Reilly’s credibility is going down almost as fast as Huckabee’s…O’reilly has become a definite spinmeister when he wants, has he not?.

I’ve always called his show “The All-Spin-All-the-Time-Zone.” He’s as phony as a three-dollar bill, and he’s always been. He lost me in 2004 when he declared that NOBODY could question John Effing Kerry’s fraudulent war record (when THAT was the entire basis for his presidential campaign). This time around, he looked at all of Obowma’s fraud and lack of ANY actual experience as being ANYTHING, and told us straight-faced that it was too early to judge, and praised his “intelligence” and “oratory.” People who listen and love this clown are empty vessels, because Bill O’Reilly is the master of spin in the media.
