Who is subsidizing Obama’s illegal alien aunt (besides taxpayers, that is)?
She’s still here. She’s still appealing her deportation order. She’s still living in public housing in Boston.
Over and above whatever government subsidies she is receiving, someone else is paying her legal, living, and medical expenses.
Who?
President Obama’s illegal alien aunt chattered away with an Associated Press reporter, but she refused to say who’s paying her way:
President Barack Obama’s aunt buried her face in her hands and sobbed as she described her anguish over no longer having contact with him and his family after the revelation she had been living illegally for years in the United States in public housing.
Zeituni Onyango told The Associated Press in an exclusive interview that she is troubled that her immigration woes have made her a political liability to her nephew.
…Onyango helped care for the president’s half brothers and sister while living with Barack Obama Sr. in Kenya. She moved to the United States in 2000 and applied for asylum in 2002, but her request was rejected and she was ordered deported in 2004.
However, she did not leave the country and continued to live in public housing in Boston. She had been a health care volunteer but not since her status became public. She refused to discuss how she affords to live now or who is paying for her attorney.
Onyango said she previously had no trouble visiting Obama when he was a state senator in Illinois or after he became a U.S. senator, though she declined to discuss details of how often she had contact with Obama and his family. Her tiny apartment in a modest subsidized public housing complex for seniors and the disabled is adorned with photographs of her with Obama at the Illinois Statehouse, the president’s official portrait, his family, the inauguration, her children and African wildlife.
She is disabled and learning to walk again after being paralyzed for more than three months because of an autoimmune disorder called Guillain-Barre syndrome.
Last fall, I reported exclusively on the cease-and-desist order that the Bush administration imposed on ICE agents to stop them from picking up Onyango before Election Day. Flashback:
According to my sources, the Bush administration issued a 72-hour cease-and-desist order to all fugitive apprehension teams to spare Obama embarrassment over his Kenyan half-aunt, Zeituni Onyango. The Associated Press had reported on Nov. 1 that Onyango was a deportation evader – one of an estimated 700,000 illegal alien absconders who have ignored orders from immigration judges to leave the country. The wire report mentioned that the Department of Homeland Security distributed “an unusual nationwide directive within Immigrations and Customs Enforcement requiring any deportations prior to Tuesday’s election to be approved at least at the level of ICE regional directors.”
But the politicized order was even worse than the AP reported. The deportation process wasn’t simply slowed down for public relations reasons and fear of a media backlash. The process was completely frozen.
An Immigration and Customs Enforcement source familiar with Western field offices told me: “The ICE fugitive operations group throughout the U.S. was told to stand down until after the election from arresting or transporting anyone out of the U.S. This was done to avoid any mistakes of deporting or arresting anyone who could have a connection to the election, i.e., anyone from Kenya who could be a relative. The decision was election-driven.”
Another source close to ICE operations in a southern California field office confirmed that immigration officials there received the same directive: “The reason they included all offices in the US was to show that they were not targeting the district Office where Aunti lived. They don’t want to pick her up by mistake and cause a big problem.”
In other words, the Bush Department of Homeland Security determined that protecting Barack Obama from the negative publicity surrounding a potential arrest of his illegal alien aunt was more important to the general welfare of the country than tracking down untold numbers of deportation absconders who received an extra three-day pass last week. DHS refuses to comment publicly about the case.
Well, Onyango is now talking about the order — and she has nothing but praise for Bush’s dangerous open-borders policy in his lame-duck days:
Onyango reserved special words of kindness for former President George W. Bush for a directive he put in place days before the election requiring federal agents get high-level approval to arrest fugitive immigrants, which directly affected Onyango. The directive made clear that U.S. officials worried about possible election implications of arresting Onyango.
She said she wants to thank Bush in person for the order, which gave her a measure of peace but was lifted weeks later.
“I loved President Bush,” Onyango said while moving toward a framed photo of Bush and his wife standing with Barack and Michelle Obama at the White House on inauguration day. “He is my No. 1 man in my life because he helped me when I really needed that help.”
Unfortunately, we’ll never know many criminal illegal aliens benefited from the Onyango protection order that put political considerations over immigration enforcement.
The curse of open-borders bipartisanship won’t be lifted any time soon.

Tresspassers all. The irresponsible nature of the federal bureaucracy makes it simple for apparatchiks to ignore the primary responsibility of the federal government: to protect the national borders and the People from incursion by foreign nationals. A government which refuses to or simply cannot fulfill it’s constitutional requirements needs to be dissolved and properly “reconstituted”. Right it is completely disfunctional and, dare I say it, criminal.
Well, as for the legal expenses I’m sure that there are some social-justice minded lefty lawyers out there willing to take up the cause pro bono pauperis.
As for the rest: Donks are the past masters of playing hide-the-ball with money, from ACORN to fake Congressional districts to using campaign funds to pay for Silky Pony’s mistress and kid.
I demand a refund of the hundreds of dollars I wasted in bringing my wife here legally!

As I have stated MANY times, her situation speaks more about Obama than her. Here is a man who could easily support his aunt and clear her status to remain her legally.
However, here she sits, in an illegal status, twisting in the wind, funded by the taxpayers while The One does NOTHING.
Obama is cold, devoid of any empathy. This is the same man who was clueless while discussing the possibility of wounded veterans paying for their own rehabilitation through their private insurance. Their sacrifice to their country never registered with him.
The premature death of elderly, “non-productive” citizens and allowing children to die alone in linen closets for the “greater good” of the State is indicative of this man’s heartlessness.
Is she paying taxes on all this?
I imagine millions of AMERICANS who are struggling to maintain some semblance of home and life would like to thank George Bush, “We are all God’s Children” Lobby (McCain and Lady Lindsay) and such for providing for Dear Auntie while they see their children’s future slip away.
And for those fools who think it is their Christian duty to provide-with other people’s money- for the illegal at the expense of our own hard pressed and desperate:

What makes ME want to sob is that neither Obama or W Bush would do ANYTHING about this deplorable situation. We have immigration laws for a reason, but neither party gives a rat’s patoot.

I think this proves that Obama is a grade-A moron. Seriously.
All he needs to do is pardon her for the immigration crimes (which, since they are federal would be in his power to do).
After that, she would be eligible for permanent residency by reason of the need for political asylum.
I think she’d most certainly qualify for asylum because since she is known to be a direct relative of the POTUS, she would certainly be a target for kidnapping, particularly by some junta back home. It’s HIS immigration department and there’s no way this woman would be denied asylum.
But Obama would rather pretend she didn’t exist, just like his brother, Obama [in] the Hut.

15 million plus American citizens are unemployed, and many of those presumably need government assistance. Why in the hell can’t the thick as a brick polititians get it though their heads that we do not want either legal or illegal immigrants displacing our workers and abusing our social programs?
Deport Auntie,and put some of that Nobel Prize money to good use providing for her. America is not the world’s lifeboat.

This lady clearly does not qualify for the asylum she claims she wants.
She’s bragged in earlier interviews about how it is she has “come and gone” between the U.S. and her origin location in Africa (by name of the place) and about her “happy” times back there with “loved ones” — first off, that’s not even remotely indicative of someone who had to run for their life under penalty of demise if they remained ‘there’ and second off, how in the heck she’s been breezing into the U.S. from Africa after deportation orders issued and refused by her to be honored, is a mystery to me.
Also, the public housing assistance alone should have long ago stopped including her and reported her to whomever…I read a total indulgence here by many federal employees to this woman’s (and others’ like her) illegal use of the U.S. and of public resources.
But she’s clearly not qualified for asylum, not suffering any threats due to her race, religion back in her home nation. Obviously, she’s being taken care of in the U.S. by public services and she just does not want to go back to Africa and do without those services, though she seems to enjoy her trips back there, also funded by unknown sources (how can a poor, unworking person in public housing afford these flights, another question).
The pain people such as she inflicts on the U.S. citizens and taxpayers is that they force us to assert our laws and run a thorough emotional assault on decent Americans who just want the laws enforced and observed. Illegals place the honus on the nation and then render our emotions badly such that their emotional assault on the average citizen and taxpayer is doubly wounding. They need to be held accountable for their own actions and the blame needs to stop being placed on the U.S.A. for existing as a nation defined by our laws.
I’m sorry this Auntie is in her situation but she’s clearly made this mess herself and needs to observe the deportation order already issued. I wonder just how many qualified American citizens in need have gone without housing assistance (among other things) so Auntie can tell her tales to the media from her comfy apartment.
And Barack and wife have a great big house in Chicago. Why isn’t Auntie living there, rent free, instead of on the U.S. taxpayers in Boston?
Why doesn’t her nephew The Lawyer do something for her?
