I don’t think so. Mainly it’s about fairness, but certainly (as I have pointed out) it is about protecting children adopted by same sex couples. You might not like it, but if a child has either two mommies or two daddies, that family needs stability in exactly the same way as hetero couples.

It’s all evidence of the breakdown of traditional society.

What does that mean exactly? What is traditional society? A place with no homosexuals? You know that was never the case, in the past they were just killed, attacked, or imprisoned. In the current time we recognize that homosexuals exist and it is wrong to treat them as they were treated in the past. That said, we have to recognize that some are going to adopt and because of that, they need a marriage as well to form a strong family.
