Quote of the day

By Michelle Malkin  •  December 5, 2009 10:10 PM

Zing! Sarah Palin at the Gridiron Dinner in D.C., skewering the saboteurs in the McCain camp with Ginsu wit:

“The view is so much better from inside the bus than under it.”

More here and here.

***

Meanwhile, in Iowa:

The line is starting to form outside of Barnes & Noble for Sarah Palin’s book signing on Sunday.

People started lining up as early as 7:30 a.m. this morning to get a copy of Palin’s book, “Going Rogue,” signed. Palin will appear at Barnes & Noble from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Sunday.

About two dozen chairs are lined up outside the bookstore with about seven people holding spots in the line.

Victoria Boote, a University of Sioux Falls student, was one of the first in line early this morning. It’s not the first time she’s lined up early for events.

“I do it for fun, but this is for passion,” she said.

In accordance with my own guidelines, that last comment might possibly be sarcastic…

All along, she has had that quality that evokes that primitive visceral response in the libs — and now she can talk a good game as well. Swede, that was funny. I still say the a$$hats out there that bought this global change crap owe me an apology. Choke yourselves for being stupid. The sad thing is the really brainwashed ones will die with the belief, I guess it is their religion. So, I say:

    Life is bigger
    It’s bigger than you
    And you are not me
The lengths that I will go to
    The distance in your eyes
Oh no I’ve said too much
    I set it up

    That’s me in the corner
    That’s me in the spotlight
    Losing my religion
Trying to keep up with you
And I don’t know if I can do it
Oh no I’ve said too much
    I haven’t said enough
I thought that I heard you laughing
I thought that I heard you sing
I think I thought I saw you try

    Every whisper
    Of every waking hour I’m
    Choosing my confessions
Trying to keep an eye on you
Like a hurt lost and blinded fool
Oh no I’ve said too much
    I set it up

    Consider this
    The hint of the century
    Consider this
    The slip that brought me
    To my knees failed
    What if all these fantasies
    Come flailing around
    Now I’ve said too much
I thought that I heard you laughing
I thought that I heard you sing
I think I thought I saw you try

But that was just a dream

On a related note, Sarah, on the Rusty Humphries national radio show, had the courage to say that Obama’s eligibility is a legitimate issue to bring up and discuss. Unfortunately, she backtracked a bit on her Facebook page. Still, she is about the only well know conservative willing to say anything about the issue. I applaud her for it, though I wish it had been vigoriously pursued during the campaign.

The U.S. Constitution should still matter. It’s difficult for me to discuss political “issues” while knowing all the time that the president in question is almost certainly illegal.

Interestingly a poll of AOL users, (82,000 of them), currently discussed on WND shows that 67% of them agree with Sarah. Pretty good considering the poll was right after a Palin bashing article,

The U.S. Constitution should still matter. It’s difficult for me to discuss political “issues” while knowing all the time that the president in question is almost certainly illegal.

The Constitution still matters, and the Constitution clearly says:

a President or Vice President shall have qualified

Obama has never released his initial long-form Birth Certificate.

The State of Hawaii has never authenticated the document that Obama produced.

The document Obama produced was produced at and by the Obama campaign headquarters in Chicago, and was only shown to a small, controlled, Annenberg-connected, non-governmental agency that is supposedly known for fact-checking, yet had to correct their fact-checking errors that were exposed by attorney Leo Donofrio… not once, but twice.

The Hawaiian Director of Health (Dr. Fukino) did not say “Obama was born in Hawaii” in her October 2008 News Release. She put out a new Press Release saying “Obama was born in Hawaii” in July 2009… hours AFTER the U.S. House of Representatives voted in favor of a resolution that included the words “Obama was born in Hawaii”.

This second statement may very well have relied upon this U.S. House Resolution in order to make their claim.

This second statement was reviewed and approved by the Hawaiian Attorney General, and since the conclusion of the AG’s opinion was made public, that AG’s opinion letter must also be made public, per Hawaiian law. Yet neither the DoH nor the AG will release that opinion letter. They are openly defying the law, in order to conceal something.

The 20th Amendment requires both the President and the Vice President to qualify. Since Sarah Palin received electoral college votes for Vice President, I think people should ask her to release her long-form birth certificate. I don’t have any reason to believe that she would hesitate for at all to release it and prove she is a natural born citizen.

At that point, we point out that both McCain and Palin released their long-form birth certificate, but neither Obama nor Biden have. Then ask for a little bit of that much-promised “transparency” from them.

Even if born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Obama could have been born on Hawaiian Crown Lands, (it was originally reported that he was born at The Queen’s Hospital, which appears to be located on Hawaiian Crown Lands). In Elk v. Wilkins, the U.S. Supreme Court took the question of whether John Elk, a Native American born on a reservation, was a citizen. They ruled he was not. That case could be the reason why reports of Obama’s birth hospital, originally claimed to be The Queen’s Hospital, were later changed to Kapi’olani Medical Center, as he now claims.

    ITookTheRedPill,

That is an interesting, and entertaining post.

I find it amazing that the US voters’ judgment and values have deteriorated to such a point that a person like Barrack Hussein Obama (Peace be unto Him. Praise His Holy Name. Prostrate before Him in complete surrender and adoration, etc., etc., /sarcasm off) can be elected to the position of President of the United States of America.

It is par for the course these days, as Al Franken and other leftists can steal elections and use the courts to get appointed to positions in government, such as Senator and member of the House of Representatives, merely by pestering and pushing and using the courts, and stamping feet and having temper tantrums, until they get the votes counted, recounted, recounted again, and recounted, ad nauseum, until they get the result they were shooting for, thus stealing the election from the original winner and the voters who voted for the real, authentic winner.

Question: Will the Amateur-in-Chief, the Underwhelming One, be reelected in 2012? Will he be granted an unlimited term time duration?

Will He become the Emperor of Planet Earth, with the residents of Earth bowing in homage and adoration to Him?

Umm,…have you reread that source lately, RedPill? The author total walked back his claim.

The author has since learned that, in St. Lawrence County, only the numbers for “blank ballots” were computer generated.  The “whole number” of ballots cast for each election district was entered manually.  The data entry program then automatically subtracted the vote counts for each of the candidates and the remainder would appear in the final column as “blank ballots.”  In these six election districts (and perhaps others), data entry errors were made in the first column, for “whole number” of ballots cast, which resulted in the erroneous numbers in the final column, for “blank ballots.”

Thus, in the cases cited above, there were enough actual voters at the polls to account for the vote totals for the candidates.  Both the certified results and an audit of the poll books reflect this.

    It’s not “her” jet, champ.

A Harper Collins company representative told “Good Morning America” that HarperCollins paid for the jet, and that Palin took it only for three legs of the journey and only when it was necessary.

IOW, no taxpayer paid for the jet, and it was part of her job as the named author (granted, she probably had a ghostwriter but I don’t recall seeing the word “autobiography” anywhere) to do the tour as Harper Collins saw fit.

Likewise, I don’t begrudge the Clintons any of their book money or tours or speaking engagement money. They get paid per market value – if people want to hear what they say/write, then they can pay what they think is the fair price for it.

I know, free markets and not wasting tax money scares socialists like you. Maybe you can console yourself when you achieve your life’s dream of licking jackboots clean. In the meantime, suffer.

No it’s not, dopey. I really wonder how you managed to make it through law school.

And I bet Palin would beat Obama now because he’s lost the independents and many of his supporters on the left are disenchanted with him right now. They would sit at home on election day, while Palin supporters on the right will come out in droves and vote, not to mention those independents who are taking a second look at Palin after their disappointment with Obama.
