Hey, Al Gore: You lie!

By Michelle Malkin  •  December 9, 2009 01:52 PM

Al Gore is on his ClimateGate whitewash mission — and, as usual, ManBearPig isn’t going to let inconvenient facts get in the way of his eco-crusade.

He talked with Slate magazine’s John Dickerson and repeatedly pooh-poohed the scandalous ClimateGate e-mails as “more than 10 years old,” “over 10-year-old e-mails,” and “an e-mail exchange more than 10 years ago.”

Er, the e-mails are from as recently as November 2009 — and as Anthony Watts documents and reminds folks on Planet Earth, “[a]nd there are dozens to hundreds more within the last month, the last year, and the last 10 years.”

Hey, Al Gore: You lie!

My question is, once his world-view collapses, will Al Gore off himself in spectacular “Kurt Cobain” fashion rather than to face the ridicule which rightly comes from being so very wrong for the better part of an entire decade? Will he face legal charges for fraud for his carbon-credit trading scheme, if the CRU data is proven to have been falsely bumped over the last decade to show global warming?

I do NOT believe any article which states that this has been the “hottest decade on record”. My Viking ancestors who settled and FARMED Greenland would dispute that. Viking colonies were forced to abandon Greenland during the Little Ice Age due to crop failure. Greenland today cannot be farmed. I was looking into this very event this morning. The quote I was seeking to verify was that Mt Pinatubo unleashed more toxins in one day than 50 years worth of early 20th Century pollution. I did once have figures that put mid 1990′s pollution rates at about 10% of the 1950′s figures.

The primary pollutant released during Mt Pinatubo eruption was Sulfur Dioxide, which has been attributed to the breakdown of the ozone layer over Antarctica in the mid 1990′s.

I could not help but feel that the data I came across today had been tweaked to marginalize the Mt Pinatubo eruptions contribution to atmospheric pollution.

Sarah Palin responded to Gore’s stupid interview today and smashed him good.

Steven Hayward has a great article in The Weekly Standard on the Climategate scandal. Be sure to check it out.

The response to my op-ed by global warming alarmists has been interesting. Former Vice President Al Gore has called me a “denier” and informs us that climate change is “a principle in physics. It’s like gravity. It exists.”

Perhaps he’s right. Climate change is like gravity – a naturally occurring phenomenon that existed long before, and will exist long after, any governmental attempts to affect it.

However, he’s wrong in calling me a “denier.” As I noted in my op-ed above and in my original Facebook post on Climategate, I have never denied the existence of climate change. I just don’t think we can primarily blame man’s activities for the earth’s cyclical weather changes.

Former Vice President Gore also claimed today that the scientific community has worked on this issue for 20 years, and therefore it is settled science. Well, the Climategate scandal involves the leading experts in this field, and if Climategate is proof of the larger method used over the past 20 years, then Vice President Gore seriously needs to consider that their findings are flawed, falsified, or inconclusive.

Vice President Gore, the Climategate scandal exists. You might even say that it’s sort of like gravity: you simply can’t deny it.

Oddly those White House emails of Gores from 10 years ago, that were going to take ‘6 months’ to recover from tape backups, were never “recovered” and released to the public. I bet those would be pretty “inconvenient” if they were released now too.

Don’t worry…they are scheduled to be released with John Kerry’s Navy service record. Any day now as close to I can figure…

OH NO!!! What if its not CARBON that’s the problem but it’s actually OXYGEN?

That’s a good question. Since CO2 contains two atoms of oxygen for every one of carbon, one would think that oxygen should get twice the blame. But they knew it would be a much tougher sell to call for reductions in oxygen or oxygen containing molecules like water. So they settled for calling carbon a polutant.

They decided to made carbon the “George Bush” of atoms even though water vapor has 10 times the greenhouse effect of CO2. It gives them what they want — an excuse to control and regulate all carbon-based life forms on the planet, with humans at the bottom of the priority list.

What Al Gore and the ClimateGate deniers really want is for the masses to willingly enter their proverbial gas chambers so they can fill them with CO2 from their private jets and have the planet all to themselves.

    Sarah Palin says:

Concerns over global warming are “doomsday scare tactics pushed by an environmental priesthood.”

And Al Gore answers her by saying:

“It should not be a political issue. It really is a moral issue.”

That’s all we need. This has-been politician gas bag is not content to just abuse science and stiffle debate there, he also wants to make it a moral issue so he can abuse theology too. With morality behind his cause the ends will always justify his lies.

Are you saying manbearpig is not a trustworthy spokesman, or just an outright liar?

I wonder what manbearpig’s investors think about all this? Wouldn’t it be best to say he didn’t know they were lying to him — Hey just saying, because I would think the lawsuits will start flowing soon.
