Watch John Stossel

John Stossel, the newest member of the Fox family, debuts his show on Fox Business Network tonight at 8pm Eastern.
Be sure to tune in. He write at Townhall.com:
People keep forwarding me emails and blog posts saying ABC fired me. Internet forums claim I was fired because I aired a story about the downside of government-controlled health care. This is silly. It’s not even logical. No one can broadcast anything on “20/20″ without ABC’s approval.
The truth is that my departure from ABC was by mutual consent.
I left to go to the Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network because I want more time to report on free markets and economic liberty, the kind of reporting I do in this column. With two 24-hour news channels, Fox has more room for that.
Tomorrow, finally, my new Fox Business show begins! It will air every Thursday at 8 p.m. (and will repeat Fridays at 10 p.m. — opposite “20/20″ — heh, heh, heh).
My first show will be on the “climate crisis.” Or it might be on Ayn Rand’s novel “Atlas Shrugged.” I’ve prepared both shows because I can’t decide which I should do.
What do you think?
John’s FBN blog is here.

I love John Stossel! I hope he re-visits that expose on public education!!
Welcome to Fox John! I really enjoy your imput and imagine you will be able to say what you want to say.
L
Imposter! Stossel has never said “Heh, heh, heh” in his life!
Nice addition by Fox.
I vote Ayn Rand. Most people already know about the climate “crises”. Not enough know about Ayn Rand and Atlas Shrugged.
Of course the people that watch Fox Business, know about Atlas Shrugged.
So except for his fans that will follow him from the All Barack Channel, I think he’s preaching to the choir either way.
So 60 Minutes looses it’s only voice of reason.
Now, that atheist, liberal, yet entertaining Andy Rooney is the only reason left to watch it, albeit, just the last “few minutes” of it.
They put him opposite O’Reilly? Tough slot. Will be very interesting to see if he pull’s some of the O crowd.
I would MUCH rather watch him than O’Reilly, who brags about giving Obama a B on jobs.
I might, if I could get FBN on my satellite, but Murdoch doesn’t want to sell the signal to me.
Barbara Walters being a regular on Bill O’Reilly in 3..2..1..
Translation: I wanted to report real news and ABC wanted me to suck up to Obama, we couldn’t agree so I am heading to Fox where I can do some real reporting and ABC can replace me with another Obamamaniac.
Yeah, that’s right… The Leprachaun gives Odumbo a “B” on jobs? Whaaaat??
He gets an “F” on everything! He is a vile, Socialist, America-hating idiot!
Go Sarah Palin!
I think Stossel was intentionally put in that slot opposite of O’Reilly because there are NUMEROUS people, like myself, who are tired of Bill’s pathetic guests, clueless contributors (Rivera, Lamont Hill) and irrelevant segments like the Great American Culture Quiz… HUH? I stopped watching Bill about a year and a half ago. Stossel will be a refreshing change for information that I am seeking. Good riddance Bill.
AmericaFirst – we can only hope they’ll get rid of Bill O. Every dog has his day and his day is long gone. I think even knows it. Good riddance Bill, Hello John Stossel!
I really do not think Fox will get rid of bill. He has the highest ratings of all the shows most months. I do not watch him or the spitter.

HI MISSCHERYL–1:16 PM. Bill Oreilly seems to really bend over to “cut some slack” for Comrade Obama. But I think he is usually fair to all. Maybe this comes from his stint as a high school teacher–but he is right a lot more than he is wrong, and is entertaining–and still on top in the ratings.
***
It looks like the smarter and more American T.V. news people are “jumping ship” on the Left Wing Media and are moving to Fox T.V. And Fox keeps getting more viewers as the LWM viewer numbers do their TITANIC imitation. ICEBERG IN VIEW! Only a taxpayer bailout will keep them going as they continue to fly their excellent “air cover” for the democRATs and The Messiah–”leg tingles” and all.

Officer it wasn’t me it was the double tall latte
I need an aspirin and cold pack-I must be getting a fever.
They do tell us Bill O. has the highest ratings-drivel has it’s rewards I guess. The man MIGHT try letting his guests finish an answer before :”Know What I think”. Stossel is interesting-his view that Americans WILL NOT TURN AWAY from the welfare state is depressing-probably because I tend to agree.
I would toss O’Reilly to any other time or broadcast network, replace that time with Malkin & Stossel.
O’Reilly has jumped the shark. Good luck, Mr. Stossel.
If you go with the Ayn Rand story, you might be able to suck in some Liberal viewers if you mention her sexual peccadilloes. Appealing to the Left’s moral black-hole might let the larger message seep through.
Do the climate show.
Hello, John. Adios, Bill.
“B” for jobs, PLEEEEEEASE!!!!
Rocketman
Typically I agree with O’Reilly on most things, but his “delivery” gets in his way. Ever heard the saying, you can’t hear the message for the noise!
You know that the only prescription for that is “more cowbell.”
Ooppss Rocketman
PS:
O’Reilly – entertaining? That’s not what I call him. He’s about as entertaining as nails across a black board.
Mark.my.words.
John Stossel’s 20/20 segments were pretty much pure libertarian pr0n – common sense, pro-freedom, anti-big-government. I can’t wait to see what he does on Fox.
I’d watch Stossel in a hot minute if I got FBN channel.
I, for one, am sick to death of BOR being rude to folks like Stossel, Beck, and basically any other FNC personality. He acts like the annoying big brother who has to rough everyone up a bit just so they remember who’s boss.
BOR ought to be damned happy they didn’t put Glenn Beck opposite him! I’m still waiting on Glenn to move to 7pm.
Aye. BaBaWaWa the Uninteresting and Oh Really? the Unaware Together Again. Life can be cruel can’t it?
Oh well that is why the TV gods created the remote control
welcome john to the land of the tv living.
I love John Stossel. When I used to tune into 20/20 he was the only reason I watched. I really liked his consumer reporting and how he made me think about how certain government policies may seem “well-meaning” until they come up against reality and are revealed to be the kind of unhealthy, dangerous policy that doesn’t benefit Americans.
I think this is a good move for Stossel. I wish he’d made the jump a LONG time ago. I grew up with him on ABC and often thought that he was wasted on their infotainment block. I wonder what he thought of the direction ABC took its “news” programming.
Good for him. Thank God for DVR. I’ve already set his show to record. Can’t wait to see his first program.
Boy, I sure do feel sorry for you people who not get Fox news! If I had to get my news from the other networks, the internet would be my only outlet.
L
I hope that the slot choice wasn’t deliberate. I don’t get why Bill keeps putting Mr. Shamnesty and Mr. Socialist America on (the men are interchangeable). Rivera is nothing but about his race and how bad illegals have it without some “help” and Hill is an admitted and avowed socialist who thinks Obummer should go more to the LEFT.
I really don’t understand the addition of the Great American Culture Quiz to his show. It’s not really fun to watch. Especially unfun when Doucy and Martha can’t seem to get any answers right. The one question about which country borders Afghanistan that they both got WRONG was particularly pathetic. Just shows how many Americans haven’t a clue about current events or even geography given who we have as a president now.
Yeah, Bill has lost his edge and the continuing “giving Obummer the benefit of the doubt” crap, especially regarding Afghanistan and jobs really makes me wonder if he’s lost his perspective. I’m also beginning to wonder if Bill’s viewers have had enough of Bill’s “benefit of the doubt” to make a change and try Stossel on for size.
The Factor used to be a helluva lot better than it is now. I can see why Michelle left when that bozo Rivera is allowed to contribute ANYTHING of consequence to the show.
I enjoy Stossel from the start, his libertarian ideas go a little far at times , but generally I do enjoy what he has to say. Haven’t watched anything at that hour for a year now, I’ll be there.
Interesting he’s placed in competition with OhReally, I stopped watch that clown a year ago…he does nothing more than pander for guests, while declaring himself a “traditionalist” his way of not committing politically, no courage shown there.
The only reason O’Reilly has guests on his show is because he needs tools to showcase himself. At least with guest he can ask and answer his own questions without looking too obvious about it.
If I ran FOX News channel …
Dump Jerry Rivers. I turn the channel anytime his face appears on screen.
Get O’Reilly to return to harder stories. I agree with the previous poster things like the culture quiz cheapen his show.
Give Michelle Malkin her own program. Nobody sticks it to the left better.
Steal Jake Tapper from ABC.
Hook me up with Margaret Hoover.
Require Jamie Colby to change her expression every once in a while.
Bring back E.D. Hill. She was there when my cable company FINALLY gave us FOX News and I always enjoyed her much more than Gretchen.
Politely push Huckabee out the door. I’m from Arkansas and I know this guy’s politics pretty good. He ain’t one of us!
Create a reality show similar to Big Brother where all the incumbent Dem senators and congressmen who are voted out in 2010 live together in tribes!
I would have guessed Stossel to be too Libertarian for this crowd. Hope springs eternal.
Seriously – I am ready to start voting Libertarian just so the inevitable compromise will result in conservative government.
Voting Republican has brought me socialized medicine, NAFTA, unfettered immigration and a ban on selling old children’s books.
Enough. I might not be able to stop it but I don’t have to vote for it either.
How about Fox consider giving Stossel a two hour debut so he can do both?
Must See TV on Thursday nights is back!
*John Stossel is one of the good guys; I wish him well; I would suggest to him that he have economist John Tamny on as a frequent guest to truly educate people on the subject; More people need to know how very wrong Ferret Boy Krugman and his ilk are on the subject!
That was especially nutty, even for O’Reilly. He said it was for the one month that only 11,000 jobs were lost. No mention was made that it was because of Christmas.
He also claims he has seen some kind of proof that Obama is a natural born citizen that no one else has seen…..but he’s keeping it quiet.
What a self-absorbed windbag, no wonder he likes Obama.
This is begging for a revision.
