Democrat introduces SEIU-backed illegal alien amnesty bill

Voila! Meet the new illegal alien shamnesty push via the Washington Times (readers: note that this is an excerpt from a NEWS story from the Times, NOT a Times editorial endorsement of amnesty!):
Democrats on Tuesday begin their new push for an immigration bill, hamstrung by the image of legalizing millions of illegal immigrant workers at a time when the unemployment rate stands at 10 percent — more than twice what it was the last time Congress tried to act.
“It certainly will confuse the debate a lot more, but at the end of the day what we have to understand is fixing this system will be good for American workers,” said Eliseo Medina, executive vice president of the Service Employees International Union, which is one of the major advocates for legalizing illegal immigrant workers.
Rep. Luis V. Gutierrez, the Illinois Democrat who has taken over leadership on the issue after the death of Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, Massachusetts Democrat, plans to introduce an immigration legalization bill Tuesday, and backers are planning a strategy to avoid repeats of the failed attempts of 2006 and 2007.
The bill would torpedo the joint federal-local deportation program known as 287(g) and opposes beefing up our land borders with more Border Patrol agents or fencing.
SEIU has been lobbying for illegal alien amnesty as a massive membership booster all year. In May, the Purple Shirts held a pro-illegal immigration rally from Malcolm X Park to the White House to put pressure on homeland security officials to call off workplace raids (not that Janet Napolitano needed any convincing):

More and more Congressional donks are realizing that they have crossed the point of no return before the waterfall. There are two emerging paths of reaction:
- More and more “blue dog” style donks are retiring; and
- Others are taking a, “We’ll never have a majority like this again, so why not go for broke?” approach, similar to raiding the pantry on the Titanic as she’s going down.
The walls of denial are breaking down, even for the donks. That’s “progress” for the “progressive” crowd, I suppose.

Spent all weekend looking for a deal to surprise my husband with a trip to Vegas after New Years. Then I remembered the high percentage of workers at the major hotels were SEIU members. They can pound sand along with Reid.
Even if you punish some legal citizens, it’s time to stop using any business or company that utilizes illegals (or even what appears to be employees of hispanic ethnicity – sorry, that might include my sister in law but she’s more against illegal aliens taking American jobs than I am). Now that unemployment is 10%, let’s open up the borders to new workers, who, of course, would vote for socialism and the democrats. That’s the politician’s opinion today. Our borders are a farce. What the government wants to do is open it up, but don’t make it too obvious. If I wanted to come to the U.S., I’d do what people have done for years; sneak across and wait for the next amnesty bill to be passed. Meanwhile, my wife (Indonesian) has struggled for years and thousands of dollars spent, to get a green card. They insist on an original birth certificate, which is unattainable. Records were destroyed. She does have an English translation, but they want an original. Now, they insist that she have 2 witnesses to her birth: she’s 59. There aren’t any. Maybe it would be better to fly her to Mexico, sneak her across and declare her an illegal. The government would fall all over themselves rushing to help her. Sad situation for those who come here to be legal and love the country, not the freebies.

This was my concern when the “Shamnesty” bill crashed and burned. While severely flawed, it’s primary focus was to secure the border. Even then the odds were that the Democritters would be in power soon. As I feared, this bill will make Shamnesty look like the Berlin Wall, and has a good chance of passing – against the will of the majority of Americans. I’ve already writen my Congressmen.

This is such a horrendous bill because the scum racist hispanic politicians (and whiny liberal white pols) figured out from the last amnesty push they didn’t leave enough room to get what they want while claiming compromise. This is about the worst bill they could offer up. In my book, anyone supporting amnesty should be tried for treason, taken out back and shot.
I again ask, what is the benefit to the majority of Americans for giving amnesty and increasing immigration levels? There is NONE, zero, nada benefit to us passee Americans. All we get are more uneducated, poverty ridden, peasants who will demand more benefits from the productive members of society. All the while the immigrants will be producing more and more babies for us to care for. This can’t end well.
If amnesty passes, in any form, I will no longer display any loyalty to this country. I will not fight to defend it (why should I, the gov’t is diluting the value of US citizenship). The gov’t refuses to stop the invasion or do anything meaningful to stop it. They turn a blind eye and tell us to shut up and sit down. I will take what I can before she falls and be gone (same as pols).
