Illinois has such a great record on keeping normal felons in jail. Like this time. Can't wait to see what hardened and trained terrorists do. Especially right by a nuclear power plant. Oh, and all those jobs for Illinois residents people like Durbin were bragging about? 99% will probably go to out-of-state federal employees and Iowa residents.

I attended UCSC (affectionately known as Uncle Charlie’s Summer Camp) between 1973 and 1976. If anything, associating with those radical leftists made me the conservative that I am today. I eventually transferred schools and graduated with my bachelor’s degree elsewhere, but one notable UCSC graduate who is conservative is Victor Davis Hanson.

Back on topic: when the Thomson prison was built, it likely went through public hearings and an environmental clearance. My guess is that what was originally anticipated for that prison was not the housing of Gitmo detainees; I would wonder if there would be potential legal challenges for violation of whatever environmental finding was made.

I sure hope the families of the workers in that prison won’t rue the day when the fanatic friends of these animals kidnap them in their homes to blackmail their prison worker members to help stage an escape or hold them for ransom to get their bloody buddies released.
