Clown alert: Janet Napolitano says the “system worked;” Update: And now…J-No’s about-(clown)face
Scroll for updates…

Photoshop credit: Another Black Conservative
It has been, in the words of Queen Elizabeth II, an “annus horribilis” for DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano.
Beginning with her embrace of the impotent euphemism “man-caused disasters” to the hit job on conservatives and veterans that she was forced to apologize for, to her assertion that crossing the border illegally “isn’t a crime per se”, to her boneheaded claim that 9/11 terrorists came in through the Canadian border, Ja-No has confirmed time and again that she’s not ready for prime time.
Today, she caps off her horrible year by playing Big Pollyanna in the wake of the Flight 253. The botched bombing — foiled by a faulty detonator and brave passengers, not by homeland security bureaucrats or any preemptive measures by intel officials — shows that the in Ja-No’s fantasy world.
Transcript of Napolitano’s interview on CNN via CQPolitics:
CROWLEY: Secretary Napolitano, thank you so much for joining us. If I am about to get on a plane today in the U.S. or headed toward the U.S., I think my big question is, is this part of a larger plot, or do you think this is a lone wolf?
NAPOLITANO: Well, right now, we have no indication that it’s part of anything larger, but obviously the investigation continues. And we have instituted more screening and what we call mitigation measures at airports. So I would advise you during this heavy holiday season just to arrive a bit early, and to know that we are going to be doing different things at different airports. So don’t expect to do the same thing at one airport when you transfer through to another airport.
But the traveling public — this is my message for you, Candy. The traveling public is very, very safe in this air environment. And while we continue to investigate the source of this incident, I think the traveling public should be confident in what we are doing now.
CROWLEY: So, just to finish up on the question– I do want to talk to you about security measures — but do you think — has there been any evidence of the Al Qaida ties that this suspect has been claiming?
NAPOLITANO: Right now, that is part of the criminal justice investigation that is ongoing, and I think it would be inappropriate to speculate as to whether or not he has such ties.
What we are focused on is making sure that the air environment remains safe, that people are confident when they travel. And one thing I’d like to point out is that the system worked. Everybody played an important role here. The passengers and crew of the flight took appropriate action. Within literally an hour to 90 minutes of the incident occurring, all 128 flights in the air had been notified to take some special measures in light of what had occurred on the Northwest Airlines flight. We instituted new measures on the ground and at screening areas, both here in the United States and in Europe, where this flight originated.
So the whole process of making sure that we respond properly, correctly and effectively went very smoothly.
If the “system” had “worked,” the U.S. consular officials who granted Abdul Farouk Abdulmutallab a short-term visa last June would have revoked it immediately upon being informed by his father that he was a Muslim radical with al Qaeda ties.
If the “system” had “worked,” U.S. consular officials would have never granted Abdulmutallab — a rootless, young, single male — a visa in the first place in compliance with State Department visa regulation 214(b):
That law requires an applicant to show strong roots in his home country — such as a house, a spouse, and/or employment — in order to prove that he would be likely to return home when his visa expired.
Young, single, unemployed men are the people most often refused visas under 214(b) (when it is actually enforced) for the very reasons that al Qaeda recruits them so heavily: They are shiftless and have very little to stop them from packing up and moving to a new country. There’s also, sadly, very little to prevent them from committing terrorist attacks.
If the “system” had “worked,” Abdulmutallab would have been barred from the U.S. like he had been barred from Britain.
The “system,” like Napolitano, was an epic fail.
And as predicted, Napolitano also played the “lone nut” card — dismissing the Christmas Day jihadist as a single operator not part of “anything larger” despite his own testimony to the contrary.
She’s Obama’s biggest joker. And there’s no Blame-Bush loophole
to weasel through anymore.

Nothing to see here, move along:
An Al-Qaida operative in Yemen threatened the United States and said “we are carrying a bomb” in a video posted online four days before the botched Christmas Day attempt to blow up a Northwest Airlines flight.
The video does not contain any clear evidence that the speaker was anticipating Friday’s attempt, but it has attracted scrutiny because of reports that the bombing plot may have originated in Yemen.
The 23-year-old Nigerian man accused in the attack claimed he received training and instructions from al-Qaida operatives there, U.S. law enforcement officials said, and a key American lawmaker has said there are “strong suggestions” of a Yemen connection.
In a Dec. 21 video, the al-Qaida operative delivered a eulogy for militants killed in a Yemeni airstrike on a militant training camp four days earlier. The speaker said he had no agenda against Yemeni soldiers, but warned them against cooperating with Americans.
“We are carrying a bomb to hit the enemies of God,” the speaker says.
“O soldiers, you should learn that we do not want to fight you, nor do we have an issue with you. We only have an issue with America and its agents, and beware of standing in the ranks of America,” he says. “You should not defend these regimes. The soldiers and even Obama cannot put out the light of Islam.”

Related from Andy McCarthy:
It sounds trite but it’s worth repeating: The object of terrorism is to terrorize, and obviously the mission has been accomplished even if the plane was not brought down.
In Willful Blindness, I recount the debacle of repeated entries into the United States by, among others, the Blind Sheikh (Omar Abdel Rahman) and al Qaeda operative Ali Mohammed — the former permitted free entrance, egress and, finally, a green card (as a special religious worker) even though he was one of the world’s most famous jihadists and was on the terror watch lists for having authorized the murder of Anwar Sadat; the latter permitted to immigrate from Egypt and join the U.S. army despite having been caught trying to infiltrate the CIA. Now, nearly 20 years later — after 9/11, the 9/11 Commission, etc. — we have Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab: He was in the terrorist “database” because we were warned by his own influential father of his radical ties and proclivities, and he was evidently notorious among associates in Africa and Europe for his jihadist leanings; yet, he was issued a multiple-entry visa. And he claims to have been trained in Yemen — the al Qaeda hub to which the administration has just sent a half-dozen trained jihadists previously detained in Gitmo, and where it hopes to send many more.
I wonder what the media would be saying if George Bush were still president.
Jonah Goldberg says, “Fire Napolitano.”
But her hapless first-responder mentality is simply a reflection of the man who hired her.

Update: Ja-No does an about-face. About-(clown)face:
Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano conceded Monday that airline security failed in allowing a Nigerian on a terror watch list and allegedly armed with explosives onto a Detroit-bound flight, a turnaround from her declaration a day day earlier that “the system worked.”
Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano conceded Monday that airline security failed in allowing a Nigerian on a terror watch list and allegedly armed with explosives onto a Detroit-bound flight, a turnaround from her declaration a day day earlier that “the system worked.”
The secretary’s comment Sunday was widely criticized, given that suspect Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab was foiled because his explosive mixture did not properly detonate and he was stopped in his tracks by vigilant passengers.
The suspect, who carried the explosive in his underwear, passed through security at two airports — in Nigeria and Amsterdam, Netherlands. Plus he was not on any “no-fly” list, even though he was on a massive federal database of people with suspected ties to terrorists and his father apparently had warned U.S. embassy officials in Nigeria about his son.
“Here, clearly, something went awry. We want to fix that problem,” Napolitano told Fox News on Monday.

The system worked?
…and I’m Daffy Duck!
She personifies the clown monster from the movie “It”.
God help us all…..
This has to be the most titanically stupid comment yet by a titanically stupid administration. It’s one for the ages. This is a primo candidate for disappearance down the MSM coverage hole.
Annus horribillus, I thought that would be in reference to mr Barney frank!
Whose system are you extolling, Janet? The terrorists??
This is exactly what I expected from this woman. She is so far from being up for this job. Instead of focusing on what needs to be fixed, she has to minimize the problem so as to deflect the blame. The only correct answer is, “We screwed up and will do everything we can to see that it is corrected”. This is the “blame everybody else” administration. Maybe this is Bush’s fault too. Thankfully the bomb failed and the only thing that happened is that the terrorist is now a eunuch.
It all went according to Janet’s brilliant effort to demoralize and humiliate terrorists one by one. Once notified by the terrorist’s father that he was a radicalized jihadi, the plan was set into motion. Allow him to board thinking nobody knew who he was. Of course they knew he had these explosive agents, but had ensured that he didn’t know how to properly combine them in a timely manner. The administration hand-picked “passengers” to sit nearby so once he attempted to detonate the “dud” explosives and instead set his crotch on fire, they would subdue and drag the mortified man smoldering from his seat and down the aisle to entertain the rest of the passengers.
Genius. Simply. Amazing.
“You can’t fix stupid.”…..Ron White
Would it be inappropriate to make “liar, liar, pants on fire” jokes here?
Napolitano ist’t a clown, but a fool. She reminds me of an exceptionally bad lawyer I once had to deal with: he was such an idiot that it escaped him completely that his Wile E. Coyote-esque schemes weren’t fooling me or the court, and it never failed to produce a shocked expression on his face when his little games continually backfired on him.
The point being, when you’re a hapless fool like Napolitano, the natural tendency is to believe that everyone else is a fool, too — so it’s easy for her to lie by saying “The system worked” because she’s convinced that nobody else will be smart enough to see the truth.
She’s right about The Domestic Enemy that put this administration and congress into office, but that’s as far as it goes.
This incompetent administration is going to get people killed.
Big Sis and her comrades are the biggest threat to our country. What does BHO have to say? 3 wood or driver?
Right. Like there was no chance your boss was improperly screened, either.
Actually the system does work. It worked exactly as designed.
The system is designed to inconvenience as many people as possible in the worst way possible, without looking for specific threats (i.e. profiling). After all, it would have gone against the system to search a young Nigerian Muslim with known terrorist ties any more carefully than they would search your 90 year old WWII vet grampa.
A Eunuch? Oh great – now he can serve in the Obama administration…
Yea the system worked as well as her female hormones!
That’s a man, baby!
What makes me sick is the R’s who voted for this gal for DHS. They all knew she had stuff that would come back and bite her and it sure is now. I wonder how this gal would have felt if some of her family members along with hundreds of others would have died if this man had been able to do his bomb? Get a grip gal, you are not doing a bang up job!
L
If the system worked, why was there a bomb on the plane?
Sure the system worked. Just like it worked on Flight 93.
Wonderful. This time no one died at all, so the system didn’t just work, it worked perfectly.
Just when you think they can’t possibly say anything more clueless than they already have, there they go again!
It’s true, the system worked, for some value of “worked”. If you call the fact that bureaucrats followed ex-post procedures “working”, then there is some validity to the claim that the “system worked”.
That, however, isn’t really the subject of most peoples’ concerns. What obviously failed were the procedures that were intended to prevent precisely this type of situation.
J-No is trying to obfuscate, and is making herself look extremely foolish in the process. Typical Obama administration. They think that by twisting words, they’re being clever. Americans are catching on, just look at the polls.
Barring a miracle or a sudden attack of bureaucratic competence, the jihadis will eventually bowl a strike. The only thing preventing this disaster was simulaneous incompetence on the part of the J-Nap crew and the jihadis.
I have no confidence in this government. The sad thing is that if in the future, a patriotic agent does his/her job but in violation of the Obama ROI, we will be spared but the agent will be pilloried.
BTW, Napolitano reminds me of the raging incompetents I’ve seen running school boards around the country. Lots of smoke and bun, but no meat. In fact the average school board member could do a better job than she.
She is so clueless and out of her league it is almost painful for me to even watch her.
Our enemies must look at her and can hardly contain their delight.
You basic Leftist will not realize their studity until some Jihadist is slitting their throat or burning them alive.
We’ll see how serious the Obama admin. is on combatting terrorism. Otherwise, this will be the Right’s “Good job Brownie” moment for sure.
Like the vast majority of Leftists, Clown Janet, is at best a worthless parasite, and at worst a clear and present danger to the Republic. I pray for civil war so that we may remove all these threats to liberty in one fell swoop and for all time.
The Obama administration has more dangerous and incompetent fools – starting with The One – than any in my lifetime, if not the lifetime of the Republic.
The Obamaconomy is sputtering along on two cylinders and we’re told it’s a recovery. A Dutchman’s heroic actions stop a terrorist and we’re told the US Homeland Security system works. Obama and the DemocRATs want to foist socialist medicine on us that will destroy private health insurance companies and the healthcare system itself, and we’re told it’s a fine Christmas present for the American people.
Many of us have been awake all along, and I hope the rest are now awakened. If we the American people don’t fight them tooth and nail and throw them all out beginning in 2010, we have only those who vote for these clowns to blame.
How in tne hell did this terrorist get an American visa. Wasn’t he on the no entry list too. Napolitano is not only a clown she is a moron. I guess that’s why our illustrious leader picked her for the job.
Regardless of one’s point of view the “Mission Accomplished” sign behind President Bush was a bad idea. Just was.
Maybe this statement is Janet’s “Mission Accomplished” moment?
Guy on a list for 2 years and he is on a plane with explosives in the US AND the system worked?
Come on man!
Can the Dept. of Homeland Security go away now? It’s a bureaucratic nightmare that creates more problems than it was ever meant to solve. But hey, when was the last time we ever had a political leader who was serious about actually solving a problem?
Now, if they were serious about solving these problems, they’d really upon and empower the professionals (e.g. DoD and the U.S. intelligence apparatus), not some non-producing, redundant, resource-sucking agency in D.C.
If the system worked, then why are they implementing more idiotic restrictions on the flying public? Stay seated the last hour with nothing in your lap. Gimme a break. Allow knives on planes; there’s more good guys on a plane than bad and the good guys can subdue the bad.
A+’s all around! Depression is now “the new normal” and failure is “the new success”. Otherwise it’s Bush’s fault.
Janet Napolitano has to be the poster child for intra-anal encephaly.
Would some kind surgeon please cut the woman a porthole in her abdomen so that she can at least see to keep from running into things. And somebody do something about that hairy mole up between her shoulders where her neck stops.
No it didn’t. The passengers and crew aren’t members of the TSA and the Obama administration and Dept. of Homeland Security (what a BS name) have defunded the program that armed pilots (reference here) So tell us again how the system worked. In detail please because I’m not too bright.
That was after the detonator/explosive device proved faulty and caused the PETN to burn instead of explode you simian, popinjay, apparatchiki!
Or does God who was looking out for the passengers and crew when you failed over and over to stop the terrorist count as the ‘system worked’. If so, you’ve far more faith in God than I can muster yet failed to thank him publicly for a faulty IED. One should not depend on God to always come to your aid as much as it may be convenient to do so Ms. Napolitano, you spineless, whimpering, tailess, nincompoop of an excuse for your master’s bassett hound.
Everyone gets a participation trophy.
Lord, protect us from the morons the morons elected. I pray for the stupid and the near stupid who run the country. The near stupid are not even smart enough to be stupid…..this would be the kind of person who just never has a clue. I am in mortal fear of jihadists and our government poo poo’s them and won’t even identify them by name!
Oh yey, Janet is on the case. In a year or less they may get around to using the words “muslim terrorist”. Naw, just kidding, will never happen. And as to “important roles”, the only ones who played that are Jaspur Schuringa and others who worked to subdue the terrorist.
She seems to be referring to their reaction to the terror threat is where the system worked. This proves that this administration is not proactive in dealing with terrorism, but reactive.
Napolitano needs to man up.
Wait. He/she already kinda did that.
Hmmm.
Lucky for him/her that he/she’s a member of the smartest most gifted most wondrous most intellectual administration ever in the history of the whole wide really big huge world.
RedDog, Napolitano IS the average school board member.
If you think Napolitano is doing a great job now, just wait until her humongous new $5 billion HQ is built and she is no longer hampered by being cramped for space. Genius like hers needs room to operate.
She is such a tool
Good point. I wonder what these go-along-to-get-along morons think of their vote now.
Will they have the guts to ask her what part of the system worked? And would she consider it to have worked if the bomb had gone off?
Jeez what a ditz!
Janet you are a lone nut. I thought I saw you on an Emerald ad last night
Seems even the media isn’t buying J-No’s idiocy.
This is beyond funny, it’s downright scarey!!
Gentle readers, don’t be so hard on she/it-No-Brain-itano. She/it-No-Brain mearly …would LIKE to…
Can we not, Gentle readers, all agree that WE would LIKE to discover that 2009 was only a bad dream?
As a transplanted Californian living in Arizona, I’m glad she’s gone! We’re still picking up her mess here! She overspent us into this mess!
She was incompetent when she worked for Clinton, she was incompetent here, and she is now incompetent in DC. The trifecta!
If we just closed Gitmo this kind of thing would stop happening wouldn’t it?
Related, I do have some prime beachfront property I’d love to sell you at a rock-bottom price.
Conservative Republicans should have no problem, and spend hardly any money, on campaign ads for the next 2 election cycles. Just run bullets on Obama policies and ask voters if they would like more of the same crap they’ve had thus far.
Zeppelin Manufacturer states: “System worked”.
Meanwhile Obama is on vacation in Oahu where more security measures are ruining the jobs of people there. Non-airline aviation is shut down on the island during the Christmas tourist season. People employed doing sightseeing flights are out of work during this busy time since they aren’t allowed to fly within 30 miles of the “chosen one”.
Thinking back, we had the “Flying Imams”, “Shoe Bomber”, the recent incident with four or five “Middle Easterners” praying loudly and switching seats and now the “Load In His Pants” bomber.
Anybody else see a pattern here? Pushing, probing, searching for the weak points in US defenses, such as they are. Huge coverage whenever a problem comes up or a near disaster happens. The bad guys get bolder, we just get older. Until we don’t.
Anybody remember even hearing about a problem on El Al, the Israeli airline? Wonder if that is because they are smart enough and have the guts to deal simply, quickly, effectively and quietly with these kinds of ‘man caused disasters’ and near disasters?
If your opponent doesn’t know your plan, it sure seems to me that it would be much more difficult to make plans to defeat it.
Before I get pilloried for freedom of the press, understand that I am all for that. Somehow, I seriously doubt that the coverage needs to be as detailed as it is.
God help us, the present administration is in no way prepared for a successful mission such as the Christmas Day mis-fire. Our enemies are learning and laughing. Every day.
Santa Claus should head up DHS. He checks his lists twice and is looking for some fill-in work until next December…
If by “the system worked”, she means Joe Citizen acted valiantly, then I agree. She suffers from Al Gore disease, taking credit where none is due.
Excellent dismantling of this fool’s proclamation Michelle. This woman is a focking lying moron. But once again, dems rely on the uber-stupidity of their supporters, and correctly so. If enough democrats said, and the msm repreated, that we live on Mars, not Earth, I guarantee you that brain dead liberals would start to believe it.
It is so sickening that this dangerously incompetent lying pile of pig ***t does not get challenged on patently absurd statements like this.
The system worked! Janet and untold thousands of gobmint workers get paid milliions in the homeland security department and you are left to fend for yourself.
Up next. Passengers accused of racial profiling and assault on chemist.
WTFDSK?
PHOOEY, SHE HAS HER HEAD UP HER A$$ IN A FIELD SHE KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT!
Throw all these bums out Odopey appointed and impeach this imbucile we have for for a President. NOW!
This POS says: “You need information that is specific and credible if you are going to bar people from air travel.”
I say to that: BS! Hey dummy, you are the head of DHS! There is no PC in this job! You dumb twit! If there is ANY doubt,-no fly! Let ‘em take a boat or better yet do not allow them in the country! Jeeeeze, get a clue!
Sorry, link to ft.com. I am so mad I can’t see straight
Same goes for domestic travel! Do your job dummy!
Sorry, link to ft.com. I am so mad I can’t see straight
Same goes for domestic travel! Do your job dummy!
The above statement by Napolitano is the key to understanding how she views her role. She thinks her job is to “respond” to acts of terrorism. If her department responds properly, they have done their job and “the system worked”. The idea that she and her department should be actively working to prevent terrorism doesn’t even enter her mind.
Could anyone utter the next two statements with a straight face and not be accused of being an absolute idiot? Or, perhaps, she just thinks the American people are absolute idiots and will believe anything she says. If all she does is hang around the “yes we can” croud, I can understand why she would come to that opinion.
Napolitano is indicative of all his appointments: no actual abilities other than the ability to follow orders.
We are still in denial about our war with Islam. They have declared it openly many times; Just because we have not accepted the declaration does not mean they will forget about it. And the longer you let something fester the uglier it gets when you are finally forced to deal with it.
Well that parts apparently true, how else did odopo become president?
Thank the Lord for that malfunctioning detonator and those alert passengers!! I’m sure Obama cares deeply about this as he lines up his putts.
Welcome to the Democrat mindset.
Rush is right. Obama is Carter on steroids, with a dash of Marx.
If his own father felt compelled to notify the American embassy that his son had become so radicalized that he might be a threat, why was that not considered credible? What information would they consider “credible”? Would it be so bad if they erred on the side of caution and keeping us safe, rather than on the side of terrorist rights?
Apparently, it would take more than the following for DHS to sit up and take notice:
“Having a connection to both al-Qaida and Yemen” is not “specific” enough to put him on the no-fly list or even on the list for additional security checks? Are they mad? What does get you on the list then — being a regular listener to Rush Limbaugh? Non-citizens with connections to al-Qaida do not have an unalienable right to fly to this country whenever they want!
Anybody care to bet it was made in Russia?
Chap, is it possible for a private citizen to charge a public official with murder?
I have concluded that there are basically 3 things the Obama administration is concerned about:
1. Separating us from our money
2. Eliminating our freedom
3. Political Correctness
Anything else flies under their radar.
Is there any way to find out what specific policies have changed at DHS since Obama took office?
A muslim doctor in the Army emails an al-Qaeda cleric to ask him if killing American soldiers is permitted by the Koran. The FBI looks into it and concludes he is doing innocent “research” and no formal investigation is warranted.
A Nigerian traveler with ties to al-Qaeda — and whose own father has flagged him as being dangerous because of his extremist views — wants to board a plane to the US. DHS decides the information isn’t specific or credible enough to even warrant an extra pat down.
It sure appears that political correctness is running amuck in our government. I would like to know if they have been directed to avoid even the appearance of profiling, thereby giving muslims, Nigerians, and other “misunderstood” peoples of the world a free pass.
You need to understand the liberal mindset. I worked with a guy who thought 90yo grandmas should be searched because in Vietnam, 90yo grandmas threw grenades at our boys. Yes, he was a liberal and yes, he voted for Obama.
I just cannot wrap my brain around such stooopidity. If I could, I would be LGM.
Does Ted Kennedy ring a bell?
No No the system did work perfectly…..because the same people that do her stats do climate change…..you see they had the defective bomb thing figured in all the time….Perfect math and No you cannot look at or check their papers because they are PERFECT ….do I have to spell it out in capital letters?…what is the matter with you people
Could Napolitano be a closet truther?
She’s a closet something, that’s for sure.
Come Jan 4, America will be so much more safe when new, highly publicized DHS policy takes effect that directs the prompt parole and release of any foreigner arriving at a land or air port of entry that requests asylum after expressing a “fear” of returning to their country – no matter what country. No documents, or false documents? No matter. As little as their statement can be considered good enough as “proof” of identity for prompt release, and eligible for a work permit to boot.
Those who have ulterior motives for entering the US, and there are many, will have an express lane into the US under this Administration. Because of course, no one showing up at our borders seeking entry with no other means to do so would lie, right?
Of course, it’s not so much J-Nap directing the new policy, but the radical pro-illegal alien advocates, attorneys, and NGOs who were angered about the inconvenience that mandatory detention caused asylum-seekers. The pro-illegal advocacy ranks have found a receptive ally willing to reverse, upon request, many immigration measures put in place by the Bush Administration, and re-label them “reforms.”
Did the System Work?
This is the System:
1)Blame Bush.
2)Accuse anyone to the political right of Stalin of grevious character and malicious intent.
3) Blame Bush.
4) Don’t call them terorists, call them ‘friends, with problems’.
5)Blame Bush.
6)Rely on blind luck to stop terrorist attacks.
7) Blame Bush.
Attack averted, therefore, the system worked.
I’d call it ANUS horribilis!
High office has plenty of perks:
Like announcing that “The system works!”
But the bomb on that flight
Has brought it to light
That the system’s in fact led by jerks!
Geez…
She can’t possibly believe people are going to buy this line of crap.
RWR

The only security that Homeland Security is really interested in is their employment. Yep Janet you elitist clown, we can see that everything is working smoothly like the pay checks keep going out on time, the database server temperature is within limits, your phone still works and your chair is nice and stable on the ground.
How about THIS IDEA JANET…. how about from now on you and every other high level TSA and Homeland Security official has to FLY COMMERCIAL LIKE THE REST OF US?
Then maybe you won’t be as interested in ‘looking backwards’ hmmm?
Aren’t we all assuming “worked” means “stopping terrorists”. What if her definition of “worked” means “employed lots of people accomplishing nothing”. Then by her definition, the system did work.
Just watched her on Fox News this Monday AM.
I knew it was just a matter of time when it would be noted that it was the past administration’s plans that allowed the man to have an explosvie device stuck in his panties. In other words, Bush’s fault.
But Security worked perfectly. Yeah, right.
Thank God for the brave passengers on that flight.
What can you say in the face of such utter stupidity? This moron is not qualified to be a school security guard, never mind HEAD OF HOMELAND SECURITY!
My head hurts.
Let’s unpack and expand Napolitano’s statement that the “system worked”. It’s very simple -
Something hit the fan and the media found me for comment…so YES, the system worked.
Off topic, but not:
Since Obama is in Hawaii, is it possible for We The People to get the locks changed on The People’s House?
After seeing J-NO on the tube yesterday, then hearing her explain what she “REALLY” meant on the tube this AM, me thinks it is time for MS. NAPOLITANO to update the OL’ RESUME!!!
It’s official – it’s Bush’s fault
Oh, Michelle. You don’t understand how well Janet and her security works! They made the detonator faulty and planted brave passengers. This Janet is slick.
“I don’t know what I’m doing. More screening at airports! See, there, problem solved.”
And now I understand TSA wants to unionize. Sounds ripe for SEIU.
Great way to transplant the Nigerian voter block into the US…Kenya next?
Clowns are creepy! Especially when in a position of power!
Hooot! Now today, Monday, she says opps, it didn’t work. Whatsamatta? Didn’t get the memo from Hawaii in time for the Sunday shows? What a tool this woman is, and a blunt one at that. If it weren’t for the “Flying Dutchman,” who I don’t believe works for TSA or Homeland Security, we’d have had a disaster. And Janet would be warming a spot under the bus.
How about this clown, rogue?
Pennywise Napolitano?
Methinks she’s gonna be warming a spot under the bus anyway. She ddn’t appear to have had a very good night’s sleep this morning.
She will be replaced at midnight, New Year’s day.
I’ll be surprised if Butch goes anywhere.
I don’t really care if she gets fired. I just wish they would fire Bush already.
SHEESH!!!
The stuff dreams are made of. Bad dreams, very bad dreams. (shudder!)
Did she say that with a “straight” face?
FIRE HER FAT ASS!
