The Interpol question

By Michelle Malkin  •  December 29, 2009 05:33 PM

Last week, Steve Schippert at ThreatsWatch first raised questions about a White House executive order that appears to give Interpol immunity from American law.

See Steve’s full analysis here.

Andy McCarthy weighed in here with more questions:

Why would we elevate an international police force above American law? Why would we immunize an international police force from the limitations that constrain the FBI and other American law-enforcement agencies? Why is it suddenly necessary to have, within the Justice Department, a repository for stashing government files which, therefore, will be beyond the ability of Congress, American law-enforcement, the media, and the American people to scrutinize?

Ed Morrissey at HotAir adds:

I seem to recall the Left getting hysterical over the Patriot Act extensions that Obama finally backed. This gives Interpol a much wider operational latitude than anything contemplated in the Patriot Act, and with no accountability at all.

Where’s the MSM, which used to be on every Bush executive order like white on rice? The only MSM interest so far seems to be from ABC White House reporter Jake Tapper, who Tweets that he has asked the Obama administration twice about it with no response.

How long can the stonewall stand?

I think it was Andy McCarthy who raised the point that this gives them a sort of backdoor way to investigate Bush and some of his people, with impunity, while pretending that the investigation has nothing to do with the administration.

If so, that would indicate the administration is staffed by people who look for loopholes without regard to consequences. That kind of thinking is consistent with their approach to everything else.

Thanks for mentioning the unmentionable subject that is not, (generally), welcomed on this website. For some strange reason the obvious of Obama hiding certain things in his past, and what that means, are simply off-limits to the media in general. I’m hoping his approval ratings will drop low enough that the fear of discussion of Obama’s past will become less than it has been up to now.

    A Fighting Chance… In Massachusetts??
    By PoliPundit ~ December 29th, 2009 @ 5:15 pm 2 Comments »

There’s a special election for Ted Kennedy’s Senate seat on January 19. The Democrat candidate, Attorney General Martha Coakley, is the presumptive frontrunner against underdog GOP State Senator Scott Brown.

But, if the results of the November 2009 elections are anything to go by, Brown has a fighting chance. To refresh your memory:
Obama ‘08 Margin Dem ‘09 Margin Change
    Virginia +6 -18 -24
    New Jersey +15 -4 -19
    NY-23 +5 -2* -7
    CA-10 +31 +10 -21

Note in particular the Obama +31 seat in CA-10.

Now assuming a similar 20-point swing in Massachusetts, and the fact that Obama won the state by 26 points in 2008, Brown would be just 6 points behind Coakley.

Add in the fact that it’s a special election, and Obama’s (and Obamacare’s) popularity has been dropping since November, Brown could just make this a close race…

We need a poll to confirm this.

Yes! But, it’s even more insidious than that! This traitorous administration is allowing foreign controlled secret police to operate with impunity against anyone with our boarders for any reason! They obviously will target guns, as well as anyone who exercises “true” free speech, and many other “American” values that don’t set well with the foreign dictators and “globalists”!

In light of what we know and can observe, it is our logical conclusion that President Obama’s Executive Order amending President Ronald Reagans’ 1983 EO 12425 and placing INTERPOL above the United States Constitution and beyond the legal reach of our own top law enforcement is a precursor to more damaging moves.

This is all a part of subjecting Americans and our men and women in our military to the International Criminal Court.

Obama is NOT working for the American people. He is working AGAINST us and FOR his WORLD government view of the planet.

If our law enforcement wants to submit, then there is nothing we as individuals can do about it the way we could resist if it was only our law enforcement doing something unconstitutional to us.

This is, in fact, a coup. We knew Obama was going to do this for certain ever since he backed Zelaya against the Honduran people, their Congress, their Supreme Court and their Constitution.

It probably will not seem like there has been a coup for some time. It will come in steps, as the new powers are slowly exercised more and more aggressively.

The first people seized here and sent to the ICC will be the likes of Serbian war criminals. They will eventually get around to all of us, including those of us violating international ‘law’ by criticizing Islam.

They have us in the pot. Now they have turned on the burners. The heating process will be very gradual so we won’t jump out until it’s too late.
