Prayers for Rush
Please keep Rush in your prayers:
Conservative radio talk host Rush Limbaugh was rushed to a Honolulu hospital on Wednesday afternoon with chest pains, sources told KITV.
Paramedics responded to the call at 2:41 p.m. at the Kahala Hotel and Resort.
Limbaugh suffered from chest pains, sources said. Paramedics treated him and took him to Queen’s Medical Center in serious condition.
He was seen golfing at Waialae Country Club earlier this week. The country club is next to the Kahala Hotel and Resort.
More at the Rush Limbaugh website. He is “resting comfortably” now. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

I think anyone transported to a hospital with chest pains is probably automatically in “serious” condition.
I don’t believe we really know anything yet except he was taken to a hospital.

I peeked at some of the comments on a news site — wow! The Left calls the Right haters, but I’ve never seen so many utterly vile comments in my life. The hatred is unbelievable.
That said, my prayers are with Rush. I haven’t listened to him for a couple of weeks because what I hear depresses me, but he is one of the greatest voices of the Right. May God protect him.

I wanted to say bad things about Ted Kennedy when he was diagnosed, a man who had killed a woman from drunken negligence, and who authored bills specifically designed to weaken this country, who cheated on his wife and molested waitresses, but Mrs. Malkin runs a classy website and requested we not just be a patriotic version of Democrat Underground, and I respected that. One or two posters didn’t, and were chastised by the others.
I doubt Markos is asking his posters to show some class…
Saw on FreeRepublic that Rush is being kept overnight in the hospital for observation. It looks like he is okay, they just want to keep an eye on him.
It’s possible it was bad digestion, a strain on his chest from golfing, or even a bad reaction to some pain medication he’d been taking.

interestingly enough, Rush’s 30 second update on WCBM here in B’more was about the fallacy of liberal’s “compassion”. He was talking about how the libs in NY banned trans fat to protect us from making ourselves obese yet because of this any food donated to shelters is checked for transfat and if found is discreetly thrown away. Better the poor starve than become obese, that’s liberal compassion!

I am a wife, grandmother, R.N., conservative, concealed permit owner, an active letter writer to my representatives, and am proud that I keep informed of the political arena.
I have worked since I was 8 years old, and have traveled the world. I know that freedom comes from our creator, and not from our government.
There are a few moments in life that one always remembers. One of mine happened in a parking lot in 1992, while eating my lunch and searching for something on the radio, I heard a voice saying things I had been thinking since I could remember. I was about 50 years old at the time. This voice came from Rush Limbaugh and I could not believe that finally my thoughts and feelings, were being validated. Since then I listen every chance I get. I am constantly grateful that his voice is present.
There have been others who have followed in his footsteps, but it was he, by his talent and knowledge that broke the standard of the left wing, politically correct propaganda on our airways. I thank God for you Rush, and with my heart and soul, I pray for you to get well and continue with the wonderful work you do.
Rush will probably get a stent or two, a new diet, excercise program, and be right as rain in a couple of weeks. I’ve seen this a million times. With his lifestyle, it was only a matter of time.

I pray for Rush that he will be healed and well again. I went to Huffpo and found some surprising compassion and genuine well wishers. Of course there was the usual bile but, the left is incapable of genuine compassion for anybody that disagrees with them.
I had the same feelings as some on this post when Teddy died. My wife always tells me don’t speak ill of the dead and I say poppycock! I only talk about the dead as I did when they were alive. I am not a hypocrite and I just don’t spout off around her.
Rush is the finest example of a conservative with talent. His ability to get a point across while being entertaining is truly “on loan from God” and I hope and pray that God is not calling in the loan. Sometimes we get “warnings” and I hope Rush takes this one seriously. Take care of yourself big guy – we need you and love you and care deeply about you.
I bet he had a gallbladder attack…..he’s been on a diet for @ a year and has lost a ton of weight. On his vacation he probably let loose and ate a lot and caused an attack. It can seem like chest pain at first…I know-i just spent two weeks in the hospital with the same thing.

I’ve taken that ER trip, generally they don’t keep you overnight unless there’s something on the EKG. And not necessarily the gallbladder thing, I’ve taken that ER trip too.
It’s the “fun” part of “over 50.” Usually it works out OK, sometimes it doesn’t. Good thing we don’t have the Death Panels, yet.

Adding my prayers for Rush.
I know how scary chest pains can be. When I was 35, I was on the way to work when they hit. I went right away to the hospital (old National Ortho Hosp. in Arlington, Va,) and spent 5 days there on a monitor. Nothing was found. What really worried me was that my Dad had an MI (heart attack) at 35 too. I take 81mg of aspirin these days and keep my cholesterol down. I’ve had to do CPR 3 times on patients. It isn’t fun. I know Rush is resting comfortably, especially after being scared so much. Back on the air soon, I hope.
This is our wake up call!!!!

I don’t listen to his radio show but do check in with his website now and then. You either love him or hate him, but his talent seems to keep some off kilter just enough to keep them honest.

Since Rush is now apparently “resting comfortably”, I will correct you with pride, as Rush wouldn’t ask the Lord to heal him, but to grant him the strength and ability to heal himself.
It’s because of Rush that we continue to enjoy Free Speech rights despite John McCain’s bill repealing the First Amendment. Rush stepped into a void that desperately needed to be filled, and he has filled it well – and brought others with him, including us. While I will most likely never enjoy Rush’s net worth, I will proudly stand as my own beacon of truth for as long as I am able.

I have been counting the days until Rush would be back from vacation so I could listen to his great voice again. The guest hosts are quite good, but there is no one even close to Rush for sheer perfection in his thoughts and comments. I hang on every word. I started praying for Rush the minute I heard at 5:00 this a.m. This could be anything, not necessarily a heart problem. He has back trouble. Pain can come from anywhere. We need Rush, badly! He is the voice of conservatism and no one else comes even close! God heal him and send him back to us!

Having just experienced the same thing, and having undergone a stent and a 5x bypass the day before Thanksgiving, my thoughts and prayers are with MahaRushie. Listen to your doctors. Flirt with the nurses. It worked for me.
With this I would disagree, but there is no question that Rush is not only the one who opened the door for us in the New Conservative Media, but he is also the one standing in the threshold making sure it doesn’t get slammed in our faces.

Rush has been part of my life since 1989, and I am so appreciative of his humor, wit, and wisdom. I am hoping he fully recuperates, and I hope that he gains a new perspective through this–since at times I wonder where he is going when he plays along with “progressive” scumbags like Seth MacFarlane.
I’m just wondering who’ll come out first with a “I hope Rush dies soon” wish from our tolerant liberals. My guess is that it will either be Ted Tall or Keith Olbermann.
Heartfelt prayers from my family to Rush for a speedy recovery. I wonder if he should restrict his cigar usage? My maternal grandfather died of multi-organ failure when I was a kid due to heart disease and because he couldn’t quit smoking (pipe) and drinking (hard liquor).
Rush was one of the first to introduce me, as a young twenty-something, to Conservatism. My life hasn’t been the same since and I have him to thank.
Thank you, Rush, for all you do. For introducing conservativism to a new generation and to holding Repubs’ and Dems’ feet to the fire.

I’m not that much of a fan of Rush’s show, but I like the man because he has guts and tells it like it is. If not for the self-promoting bombast he would have another listener.
