Everyone looks at that differently I suppose. I think his “bombast” is a fun part of his show. Everything from “here on a mission from God-da’” to being “always 99% correct” just seems to me like it’s done in good fun. I think it’s part of the reason for his huge seccess.

The one and only question asked by the State Run Media was “Are you back on pain killers for the pain in your back?”. Nice guys.

However, its also been reported that someone who looked like Michelle Obama was seen outside of Rush’s hotel window with a Rush voodoo doll. I wonder if…naa, she wouldn’t do that would she?

That said … having had 3 heart attacks myself I have a very good idea what he is thinking right now. I add my prayers for the man

And when Reagan died the Left went into their vulgarian rants. They did the same with the deaths of Pat and Richard Nixon. That is what vulgarians do. They attack Rush and Michelle Malkin for the same reason they attack Governor Palin: pure unadulterated pants wetting fear. Sort of neat. Depends as it were.

You are so right WS!! Rush is deliberately “misunderstood” by the liberals. He would NEVER express a wish for someone to die (except, of course, the terrorists who are trying to kill us). But the liberals read things into Rush’s statements that are not there. Of course, part of the reason for that is that they are morons with a bit of insanity thrown in the mix.

I’m just wondering who’ll come out first with a “I hope Rush dies soon” wish from our tolerant liberals. My guess is that it will either be Ted Tall or Keith Olbermann.

Politico has a sampling of reactions, and while none of those cited have uttered (or penned) the I hope Rush dies soon line – though Wonkette comes close – the one that stuck out for me was David Corn’s reference to a HuffPo piece about Rush’s remarks last March re: Ted Kennedy and the [so-called] Health Care Reform bill:

“…remember what he said about Ted Kennedy.” Corn provided a link to a Huffington Post article that referenced a March Limbaugh show in which “Limbaugh suggested that Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-Mass.) would be dead by the time health care reform legislation passes. ‘Before it’s all over, it’ll be called the Ted Kennedy memorial health care bill.’”

I was listening to Rush when he made that comment, and what HuffPo and Corn don’t comprehend [or don't want to admit to] is the distinction between prognostication and a wish for someone’s death.

And once again, Rush’s prescience was spot on; anyone who endured the endless pontifications from the House and Senate floors – not to mention those from idiots on Beacon Hill here in Massachusetts – heard over and over how the bill had to be passed as a legacy to Teddy.
