Two federal agents shot in Las Vegas; suspect killed
Breaking in Nevada via the Las Vegas Review Journal:
Two federal agents were injured during a shooting this morning at the Lloyd George U.S. Courthouse, 333 Las Vegas Boulevard South, Las Vegas police confirmed this morning. One suspect was shot and killed, according to FBI Special Agent Joseph Dickey.
Officials are clearing the federal courthouse and searching the building, Dickey said.
The shooting took place inside the building.
The Las Vegas Sun has more details:
Two federal marshals were shot this morning at the Lloyd D. George Federal Courthouse, 333 Las Vegas Blvd. South.
Metro Police responded at 8:05 a.m. to the shooting, which occurred in the lobby of the federal courthouse, police spokeswoman Barbara Morgan said.
The U.S. Marshals Service says the victims included a deputy U.S. marshal and a court security officer. FBI Special Agent Joseph Dickey says the gunman died shortly after the shootout that happened around 8 a.m.
The officers were taken to University Medical Center, where their conditions weren’t immediately available.
Las Vegas Boulevard has been closed in both directions.

I’m sure the nutroots are frantically searching for the shooter’s name. They need to see if he’s a registered democrat (“a poor victim of societal abuse”) or a registered republican (“a redneck, nazi, racist, terrorist, who, according to sources, unverified for the moment, bombed womens-choice clinics, pulled the wings off of honey bees, eats sea kittens, and was the leading operative in the 9-11 cover-up”).

I too, am waiting for the release of the shooter’s name. I’m sure they’ll release the name as soon as it can be determined that his name is not “middle-eastern” sounding, or obviously of Black American lineage. If it is either of these, it’ll be awhile before the name is released…at least enough time to call either CAIR or Jesse Jackson and get everyone’s “narraratives” straight before going to press or on-air.
The shooter has been seen on chopper video
He is lying dead clothed in all black assualt type gear and black combat boots
Shotgun lying just a few feet away
He appears face down so id from this distance is difficult
No matter what the identity, politics, or theology of the perpetrator, the obvious solution is to TAKE ALL GUNS FROM THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.
(Except Hollywood and politicians’ bodyguards, f***ng NATCH.)

I’m praying for the officers and their families, the perp is where he needs to be. Saved us all a lot of money and ACLU hand wringing. Although I’m sure his family will find an ambulance chaser willing to file a wrongful death lawsuit.

This Just In: President Promotes DHS Head Napolitano
In light of recent events The President today appointed a new Czar, promoting Janet Napolitano from DHS head to this new Cabinet Post.
Napolitano, after spending some time with her family and pursuing whatever will report Thursday as the new DCBD Czar.
Officially she will be in charge of, with help from the CIA & FBI, Closing Barn Doors that have been left open.
We wish to congratulate the new Appointee on becoming the Barn Door Czar.
Her office will be right next to the office of the Bathroom Czar.
Janet Napolitano would make an excellent Barn Door closer-for those barn doors not equipped with an automatic closer. She will be given a cake of wax for stuck zippers on that other barn door of which I think you implied
The story so far is that the shooter was upset with the social security office because his social security payment was going to be reduced
I’m sure more will be coming on this as time goes by

He was upset over losing his social security benefits case. We all pay into the S.S. system, with the government hoping we all die, before collecting. I don’t know anything on his case, but we all pay much more into the system than we can hope to collect. It wasn’t set up that way, if you read the original program, but the government found a way to collect more revenue without making it too obvious.
