Pelosi on Obama diss: “It was a quip”
A spokesman for Nancy Pelosi tries to pull the knife she thrust into President Obama’s back yesterday (via NYT):
Asked about Obama’s campaign trail promise [on transparency/C-SPAN], Pelosi remarked, without elaboration, ”There are a number of things he was for on the campaign trail.”
Pelosi spokesman Brendan Daly said Wednesday it was not a slap at the president. ”It was a quip,” Daly said.
A quip…with claws.
Gotta love a good ‘Rat fight.

I’m having trouble believing this vacant shell of a carbon-life form even knows the difference between a quip and a swipe.

Actually, the answer is genius.
It seems as if a quip can be defined as either a witty or sarcastic comment. So what did the speaker mean? Who knows? The answer states nothing and does so quite effectively.
Overall, the answer successfully gives the impression that the comment can be dismissed as meaningless because it was something called a quip.
I think most readers will be intimated by the fact that they don’t understand the answer but give the benefit of the doubt.
Frankly, I didn’t think Pelosi’s office was this smart.

The definition of to gibe (or jibe):
intransitive verb: to utter taunting words
transitive verb: to deride or tease with taunting words

Liberals, including Pelosi it seems, are not happy with some of the things Obama is doing. But she could not care less about transparency. She’ll claim it exists, but she knows it doesn’t. She just wants to keep saying it, hoping that enough ignorant people will believe it exists.
Her issues with Obama include those 30,000 troops, not closing Gitmo fast enough for her, not moving ahead on Cap and Tax fast enough and not taxing rich people enough. Rich people other than her that is.
So she has some beefs with Obama. But don’t give her any kudos for that. Her beefs with him center on not screwing America fast enough.
Here’s hoping she slips under Obama’s campaign bus. Which by the way, should be firing up it’s engine very very soon. Obama probably can’t wait. He hates all this Commander in Chief crap. He’s looking forward to a road trip where he does nothing other than give sppeches ABOUT stuff he’ll do…. Which to him is way way better than actually having to do that stuff. And there’s also the press on their knees before him. Some like Chris Matthews, kneeling a little closer to Obama than others.

I still think Nan is a loyal minion of the Messiah, although she is pretty drunk on her own power. She just got caught with a question she had no answer for and blew it. But she did divert the blame to someone else. Who was that laughing idiot next to her at that conference– Rangel? This year is starting out to be fantastic political theater. So many things to be optomistic about!! I am looking out the window at blowing, drifting snow and wind-chills below zero. So, the global warming freaks are silent for the moment. They will come out again when the globe warms, you know, summer. I truly believe God is answering the prayers of millions of His people. He promised to heal our land if we humble ourselves and pray. Pray we did!! I know He has a plan. Part of that plan is to give us a record-breaking cold winter from coast to coast. Another part is the waking-up of His people. Eyes are opening. Common sense is returning. Even my moonbat brother just admited he is unhappy with Obama and has buyer’s remorse. The dems are crashing and burning. Their corruption is out in the open…more and more people are hearing about it. Even the MSM is starting to wise up a bit!! And Pelosi….the gift that keeps on giving. Thank you, God! (speaking of God, has anyone heard from Zero lately? Might he have gotten banned?)
