While the government is not of course the solution there is a very large and costly problem in this country of unnecessary medical procedures and I’ll say it wasted money in terms of health care dollars on people who receive NO benefit from the expense of those dollars.

If folks want to spend their own money receiving futile medical care that is their business and I say spend all your money you want.

IF we are talking take MY tax dollars and spending them, well then I have a legitimate expectation to have a dialog about how that money, my money, is being spent.

Boston and Massachusetts needs a history lesson–didn’t they help kick out King George?

Massachusetts “Gun Control” Extended to Police Departments: The state is planning to restart a controversial federal program that supplied local police departments with surplus military weapons, saying it is beefing up restrictions to prevent law enforcement agencies from acquiring caches of exotic arms. Governor Deval Patrick had suspended the program in June after a Globe review found that police in some towns were receiving large numbers of weapons without the knowledge of civilian leaders and that, in some cases, they had purchased armaments such as grenade launchers and fully automatic M-16 rifles. Under new rules detailed by state officials this week, police departments will not be allowed to acquire weapons not typically used in local law enforcement, and they will be required to get permission from local civilian leaders before receiving weapons under the program… (I have heard of exotic dancers. I’m not sure of the implications of labeling an M16 [sic] an “exotic arm.”)

The dialog in terms of which “side” has more racist is pointless. What is not pointless is which policies are or are not racist. It is the left that needs victims to sell the idea that the government will fix their victomhood.

It is the right that says the government is the problem, not the fix.

The right promotes freedom and as a consequence destroys and breaks down racism. The left promotes dependence and categories which as its consequence promotes racism.

What is meaningful is the left’s victim mindset in its policies that are designed to create voter blocks, to create folks who think they deserve money, to create folks who keep voting for Democrats even though those same folks stay in a dependent roll.

A real Nazi belongs to the National Socialist Workers Party.

Note the operative term there – Socialist.

There are no known cases of a Conservative also being a socialist. That’s because Conservatism is the antithesis of socialism. So, liberals call Conservatives Nazi’s all the time because they know it infuriates Conservatives while at the same time projection their own ideology.

Before you agree, let me remind you that tying things like Social Security benefits to marriage gives married people special rights.

Socialism is all about putting the rights of the workers above the rights of others.

Private property rights would mean that owners would have the right to deny admission to their property to anybody, or any group of people, they wanted to exclude. It would also mean people could still smoke cigarettes in restaurants if the owners chose to allow it.

Grey this is a very accurate statement

What I see a lot is individuals using that emotion and lack of knowledge against these same people

    Misinforamtion passed off as reality

Using emotion to gin up anger about this or that by intentionally misstating facts

While I was in Russia I emailed my wife who was in Manila. I mentioned the temperature in the email and she happened to tell one of the maids about the temperature (which was something like -15 degrees).

My wife later told me the maid went pale and had to sit because she nearly fainted at the thought of temperatures that low…

Mine is usually pretty good, during the week. Then, I sit down, after a great dinner, and watch football. If it was on a meter, one could watch it fall steadily, as each quarter ends. It gets low enough, where I don’t care about Obamacare, or Reid/Pelosi; only interested in the next play from scrimmage. It gets low enough to compete with a Neaderthal, as I yell at the TV over some play, that, in the long run, makes no difference, in the game, or my life. The IQ becomes totally illogical in everything. Ah, the wonders of football playoffs…..

Now, to give an example of IQ deteriorating, I was sitting a little while ago, with a very nice rice/beef dish (my wife is Indonesian) on my right side, with a salad on the left (I know, wrong side, who cares). Mouse to laptop in between. Laptop in front. TV in living room, turned to dining room to watch football. Now, please, would someone explain the logic of all this? A nice dinner eaten with little appreciation, with the mouth spending more time yelling, than chewing. The hand using more of the mouse, than the fork. Hey…I love football playoffs!!

No. She is more of a football fan than I am. Of course, I have to explain a lot of the game to her, but she loves the action. She was rooting for the Jets. Why? I don’t know; I don’t ask. We live in SE Virginia. So, I had to root for Cincinnati, to make the evening interesting, though I am neutral in reality. I have a suspicion that she will root for the Cowboys again. (Not a good idea with a husband a Redskins fan, but I am forgiving). Sunday, we will repeat the routine, and have a lot of fun. Monday, the mind will recover and it will be the norm, once again.

Oh my: Brown 48, Coakley 47?

-As was the case in the Gubernatorial elections in New Jersey and Virginia last year, it looks like the electorate in Massachusetts will be considerably more conservative than the one that showed up in 2008. Obama took the state by 26 points then, but those planning to vote next week only report having voted for him by 16.

-Republicans are considerably more enthusiastic about turning out to vote than Democrats are. 66% of GOP voters say they are ‘very excited’ about casting their votes, while only 48% of Democrats express that sentiment- and that’s among the Democrats who are planning to vote in contrast to the many who are apparently not planning to do so at this point.

-Brown has eye popping numbers with independents, sporting a 70/16 favorability rating with them and holding a 63-31 lead in the horse race with Coakley.
