Purple Army to Coakley’s rescue: SEIU sends $685,000 more; And speaking of thugs…

By Michelle Malkin  •  January 12, 2010 10:27 PM

I told you on New Year’s weekend and again last week that the SEIU was “pulling out all the stops” for Mass. Attorney General and Democrat Senate candidate Martha Coakley.

Now, on top of all the manpower that the Big Labor army of Purple Shirts has lent her, plus the group’s primary endorsement, and the $214,000 they sent her for radio ad buys last fall, the SEIU is preparing to burn through another $685,000 in rank-and-file union members’ dues for the attorney general.

Via the Boston Globe tonight:

A major national union supporting Democrat Martha Coakley is taking out a massive TV ad buy that slams her Republican rival, Scott Brown, for his positions on abortion and climate change.

The ad taken out by the Service Employees International Union, will begin airing statewide tomorrow. The buy size is $685,000, one of the largest of the election.

Still no word from Coakley’s AG office on the complaint filed by GOP challenger Scott Brown regarding the SEIU’s illegal use of state computers to lobby for Coakley’s Senate bid.

Birds of a corrupt feather…

***

Speaking of thugs, get a load of what happened to Weekly Standard reporter John McCormack as he tried to question Coakley at the big D.C. shindig tonight:

Yahoo News has a photograph of the incident here (though the caption fails to tell you the real story).

This will be looked into immediately after they get done investigating the complaints about Obama’s web site accepting credit card contributions with no security measures. But first we need to know who Tiger slept with.

She needs to shamed with that video until she names who that person was, then he needs to be charged with assault and battery by the DC Police.

On another note, had that been me, whoever that was would have found himself in a very painful hold and taken to the ground the second he touched me, maybe some reporters need to start doing the same.

but but but we were only protecting ms coakley from a pesky popparazzi. just as in st louis, the police arrested an innocent reporter because he was photographing the seiu attack on teaparty participants and the police didn’t want to arrest brother union workers. if the reporter hadn’t been there, and the whole assault photographed, i have no doubt the police would have told one and all “no harm no foul, rub a little mud on it and everyone clear out.”
