I’m just surprised and saddened by the fact that the first lady and White House decided to participate in the fraud.

I’m not. Our Lord and Savior and the First Clydesdale are two of the biggest frauds in the country. Water seeks its own level.

zzzg – lies ’bout small items still take a toll on one’s credibility. That and the media took Bush to task over the turkey but not Obama over the vegetables. And the turkey wasn’t planned. Compare and contrast.

Yes, faked reality shows are kinda frauds – like the quiz shows which fed answers to the contestants which drew big audiences.

Soorrryyy – it was a typo, sheesh. I was defending Bush, for crying out loud. At the time I typed that comment, I could not remember if he went to Iraq or Afganistan for that particular Thanksgiving dinner but the point was the same. The backlash from the press over the “fake” turkey was amusing and I was making a comparison. Be nice.

I only watched the show to see if Food Network would let a mention of the tainted veggies slip into the Judges commentary. Sadly, it did not.

Fun Fact: Both the Food Network and White House sites claim that official WH events have featured hundreds of pounds of the produce grown there (from a garden only started last Spring, that’s barely 400 sq. ft. Riiiiiiight) Assuming it were even possible for this to be true, it would explain the increasingly ridiculous things they’ve done: Lead Poisoning.
