I realize that most of the country can’t believe that MA could possibly be fertile ground for the Tea Party message but having lived half of my adult life in Boston and most of my life in MA. I completely get it.
The original Tea Party was in Boston and MA residents have long been proud of their history but cynical about their politics but have been powerless to do anything about it since the political system was so rigged.
Suddenly a small crack of opportunity opens to quickly grow into a wide chasm as the Tea Party message slips through and resonates within the historical context of their long frustration. It is now a viral phenomenon.
It makes perfect sense that the pivotal moment for the Tea Party movement would occur in Boston. It is beautiful historical symmetry. If Brown wins, Boston Harbor re-affirms its status as a national symbol for the latest struggle to shake off tyranny in our own time.

Not for nothing, but if Brown wins, it is not going to be because he carried the vote around Boston Harbor. Obama won that 79-19. It will be much closer, no doubt. But Coakley will carry Boston handily. You will have the rest of the state to thank.
And James Madison battling dragons.
Based on the polling and how each candidate has run their campaigns, it would be a miracle if Coakley does win.

Part of me hopes that after Brown wins the left tries the 51 vote reconciliation thing. Will be the final nail in their coffin for 2010 and 2012. Hard to imagine they’d forge ahead knowing why Brown won. But lately the left doesn’t seem to be thinking all that clearly.

That would be such a historical affront to the will of the people that you could probably win most seats in November on a pledge to overturn Obamacare. I too hope they do it. I’m sure the bill will be tied up in court long enough to be overturned.

Ted Kennedy is more likely wishing for a drop of water on the tongue than interested in affairs here. Odd that Caroline Kennedy’s Sermon by the Sea at the Democratic Convention did not mention Saint Teddy’s Heroic swim across Chappaquiddick Bay.

great video, great post phil, i hope the video is playing every 13 minutes on every channel in massechusetts. remind the middle of the roaders just how far off track todays democrat party is from the john f kennedy party. john kennedy saw the federal budget at 5% of gdp and said that was ridiculous, and cut taxes. his younger brother saw the federal budget at 25% of gdp and wanted to take over another 15% of the economy. government doesn’t create jobs, it takes them from businesses and people. did we not have people saving for their retirement before social security, but not everyone, so those responsible must pay for those not responsible. you know, the toiling ant and the spendthrift grasshopper parable in reverse.

Not to be the wet blanket around here, but with SEIU’s and ACORN’s “stealth” involvement in turning out the vote/hauling voters, I fully expect a Coakley win.
As a MA resident, the title of that video really concerns me.
In MA, Massachusetts Miracle for many people is considered a reminder of Michael Dukakis and his house of cards before it fell.
That was one of the better video’s I have seen. God, please lead those voting in MA to help get our Republic back by voting for Scott.

A 68y/o friend came over this morning. Last time I saw her 2 weeks ago her vote was for Martha, Martha, Martha. This morning she arrived and fiestily announced after seeing the negative Brown postcard on my table reading – what can Brown do for you: “What a ‘B-word’ she is- I’ll never vote for Martha!” She was extemely upset with the negative ads, doesn’t belive them, doesn’t like Obama, and wants to hear the meaningful dialogue which she sees is only coming from Brown’s camp.
Martha blew it. Scott has her vote now and probably the rest of her clan’s too knowing her once she’s made up her mind

From the fact that Boston has a very diverse population, representing all nationalities, ethnics and races, and that they frequently out-vote their white counterparts by actually showing up at the polls.

New NAM model says initial rain even in Boston changes to snow Sunday before ending Monday. Depending on mixing and all, should be a foot North of the Mass Pike and outside Rte. 128. Less than a foot, but still significant wet heavy snow inside the loop and partway down the coast, maybe to Marshfield or Plymouth.
GFS is a weaker system, with less liquid equivalent precip, and since the storm is from the Gulf and the air isn’t super cool, a weaker storm cools the clumn less.
GFS is 2 to 4 inches of slush ending Monday.
Not a significant deterrent to voting on Tuesday. The NAM snows end on Monday too, but how many welfare recipients will leave their warm apartments to wait for the SEIU bus?
Lets hope the North American Mesoscale model is on the right track.

NAM predicts rain developing Sunday afternoon, turning to snow late afternoon or evening. Less than 5 inches. NAM does suggest chance of some icing in the Connecticut River valley Northern CT through NH/VT.
But that looks isolated.
GFS slower, rain develops late afternoon, turns to snow after dark. 2 or 4 slushy inches after the change, but trips to BDL during daylight hours appears mostly either liquid rain or no rain, depending on model.

I’ve noticed something interesting because of a comment I read on the YouTube page containing this video… YouTube appears to have stopped the counter of number of views on this video. About 1 1/2 hours ago, I watched this video and the counter was at 75,956. I just checked again and guess what… 75,956. I refreshed the page several times and no change, yet the number of comments have steadily been increasing so I know my page isn’t cached. Does anyone else see a different total?

What I fear most is that the Liberty Party candidate (Kennedy) will take just enough votes away from Brown that Coakley will win.
I realize that many conservatives are currently mad at the GOP and open to third party candidates. Now, however, is NOT the time. Kennedy has NO CHANCE to win this, and a vote for him is a vote for Coakley.
I think just as many or more clueless libs are going to vote for Kennedy simply because of the name. If dems in Florida couldn’t poke a simple hole in a ballot in 2000, I don’t have much confidence in their ability to know this isn’t one of “THE” Kennedys.
I think Joe Kennedy will be close to a net neutral, third party sorts not voting Republican balanced out by idiots thinking they are voting for one of the Hyannis Port criminal enterprise.
