Saw an interesting perspective on that. A politcal analyst commented that if Brown is elected and the Democrats attempt to do the kind of things you fear the backlash unprecedented.

He sadi, “Ask Joe Liberman what he will do about the Healthcare bill if that happens?”

Good point. If the Democrats are stupid….

By the rude bridge that arched the flood,

The shaft we raise to them and thee.

WOW just WOW! I am so ready for the Kennedy era to be over. Now if we can just get rid of that simpering jackass here in Rhode Island the job will be complete. I am afraid however that cowering old farts have been snowed by the dhimmie legions and think that a Republican – no matter who it is will take away their Social Security and make them eat ground up kitties. Unless Brown can win by 10% of the vote, which is hard for even Massachusetts Dem’s to Franken.

Brown only needs to win by .5% and then, by law, there is no recount.

I take heart in that, but after seeing some of the shenanigans I have seen in this state, I don’t have a lot of hope. They change laws on a whim.

I believe there is a great deal to that possible motivation in MA.

According to the Suffolk University poll that our hostess cited in another post, the appeal to save Teddy’s seat is having the opposite effect.

Those of us who’ve loved here long enough and the know the history of that particular senate seat are particularly disgusted by that appeal.

For those who don’t remember, that was the senate seat that Teddy’s big brother JFK ran for in 1952, defeating Republican Henry Cabot Lodge. JFK held that seat until his election as President in 1960.

In December of that year Massachusetts Governor Foster Furcolo named Ben Smith, a Kennedy family friend, to fill out John’s term, keeping the seat open for Teddy, who wouldn’t be eligible to run for it until February of 1962, when he turned thirty (the minimum age for U.S. senators).

So the phrase Kennedy era encompasses more than Teddy’s tenure in the Senate.

Actually, our fine “representatives” refused to allow us to vote on gay marriage in Massachusetts. They passed it by judicial fiat.

There is no way it would have passed here.

The dems are so desparate they have put out an ad saying Scott Brown would turn away rape victims from hospital emergency rooms. Can these people get any more despicable? And who do they think they are sucking in by that kind of tactic? I truly believe that the “progressives” are the most evil people on the planet. I watched some of Obama’s speech in MA today. Just about every other word out of his mouth was a complete fabrication. For example, “the economy is turning around, unemployment is going down, and I have given tax breaks to 95% of the American people”. Yes, he said that…not all in one sentence, but he said it. I just sat there with my mouth open. This man is pure evil. How can you lie like that so convincingly and have one ounce of integrity? You can’t. The audience was clearly selected very carefully, as they all cheered him like robots. I can’t wait to see him get what is coming to him…and soon. Cuffs and bars.

I lived in the Boston area for 1 year–1969. I made it a point to visit all the Revolutionary War historical sites. Lexington / Concord bridge, Paul Revere’s house, Boston Common, Old North Church, John Adam’s / Patriots graveyard, Fanuil Hall, Breed’s (aka Bunker) Hill, etc. My company also supported a good Revolutionary War statue / slide / sound show near the U.S. Constitution berth.
    ***
I also toured the U.S. Constitution (aka Old Ironsides)–and it’s museum. This ship was not of the Revolution era–it was built in the early 1800′s.

Boston was the hotbed of our freedom’s revolution. Let’s hope it happens like the video suggests on the 19th.

Michelle Malkin gets this. Glenn Beck gets it. Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Erik Erikson, Dennis Miller, and anyone else challenging the Left gets it.

We are in the very strange position now, as moderate Democrats, to be on the receiving end of this garbage ourselves, joining other PUMAs out there who’ve been targeted by the nutroots for refusing to be silenced as we watch Liberals on the far left destroy what used to be the Democrat Party.

They are furious at us for helping Scott Brown win on Tuesday. They are enraged we decided to do whatever we could to draw support to his campaign, and to mitigate any attacks the Left could make against Brown.

They are angry we’re goading Republicans to have a battle plan for January 20th, since the Left wants conservatives, moderates, and the entire GOP to drink themselves stupid celebrating on January 19th, so that the Left can find a way to keep Brown from being seated in the days after that — when Republicans normally go into hibernation and stop paying any attention to what’s going on.

We are not going to let that happen. No matter what the Left does to us, no matter how awful it is. Instead of making us shut up, it makes us want to work harder…to fight them with new reserves of fire and zeal. Has the Democrat Party really become a place where people threaten to kill you for daring to back another candidate in a race? Is this really what Democrats are now, people who call you a RAAACIST because you do not support the Socialist in the White House and what he is doing to drive this country into the ground? Do these fools really think this intimidation will work?
